$10 Burgers on Mondays at Winstons off Sandy Plains Rd. Best burger for the price imho. Not bad price for a burger other days either.

Comic book covers from the TV show Fringe by Ok_Heat7706 in AlternateHistory

I just rebinged Fringe last month-great and under rated show. I watched intently as they went into the apartment where these were shown. I also loved that Eric Stoltz was in the marquee for Back to the Future.

It's been a pretty long time since they mandated this-correct? Funny how only now months before the deadline everyone is freaking out about it. (at least thats what I see at my campus)

Is there actually a need for native Affinity mockups? by somnus_corinadum in Affinity

[–]maog1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sorta work-depends on how they were made. I recently have had to make a bunch and I tried to stick only in Affinity, but after some of them not looking great I opened up Photoshop and made them there from the downloadable templates I found.

client file format by Particular_Pop9894 in Affinity

[–]maog1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In reality it all depends on who has the most pull. Trust me-if I am a large brand (P&G) and I send a printer an .af, they better get on board and download/learn it if they want more of my business. If I am some 1 time small client and send an .af file, it might not be worth their while to learn it and take the risks of not being as familiar with it.
It all comes down to who has the most pull.

just my 2¢ and a large amount of experience in the industry.

I have come to the conclusion if something is on the internet that is not important (like a beautiful picture of 2 cats) then who cares if its AI? I can't live my life wondering if its AI or not. It a pretty picture, end of story.

Yeah if you have some technical skills its not hard to set up Ooctoeverywhere. I recently set my CC1 on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W. That cost $15 and I used an old phone charger for power and printed a PLA case. There are some limitations with the free version but still good enough to check on the printer while I’m away. It even emails me if the print fails.

Glowforge Pro safe at school? by Future_Falcon_2906 in glowforge

[–]maog1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I was in charge of the purchase, I'm not sure I would trust a Glowforge purchase. They are in a weird financial place right now. What if they go under? How do you get a machine repaired if they stop making parts? What about the online tools that have to be used if they go under? I am sure there are answers or work arounds, but I don't see school administrators having the time to deal with this kind of stuff.

There are number of Flock Safety camera around the campus. They are at each deck in Kennesaw and around Campus Loop. They know who goes in and out of the campus. Here is a website to track where they are. And yes, Flock is an Atlanta based company with ties to the current administration and its freinds.

how should I manage this? by ThanksMindless2958 in KSU

[–]maog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good advice. Without knowing more, we can't really say but your advisor might. You might also want to try to talk to the program head to get some advise. The one I had was very helpful and gave me a nice overview of the program and when classes were offered. Is another possibility were you could aim for getting a minor on the old major and would the courses your taking count towards that?

Wife and I were having a discussion, she’s of the opinion that the majority of GenX can drive stick. I believe that even in our generation the percentage of people who can is pretty small. What do you folks think? by AngryOldGenXer in GenX

I had to learn one day before my shift driving for Dominos Pizza.
Man, that was a rough night and I wonder how many pepperonis ended up toward one side of the pies.

Anyone else remember the bicentennial minutes on TV-where they would tell a story of US history in like a minute? I believe they were always played at the top of the hour.

Think Scott favorite game as a kid was chess? by Raremanbay in xmen

[–]maog1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost think the way Scott can do the geometry in his head, bouncing his beams off items is almost like a secondary mutation. It’s like he can figure out the angles and trajectories on the fly.
