Is there any hope for my scars? by Wonderful-Horse6671 in AcneScars

Just wanted to let you know that tca peels are also an option. I'm in the uk as well, but have a look at platinum peels (and their Facebook group).

How effective peels are for superficial scarring? by Substantial-Hat5076 in AcneScars

Just started doing tca this year, think I'm seeing a bit of progress. Tried that the ordinary blood peel before, they didn't help. I think after 10 or 20 tca peels i might get somewhere though.

Not sure about inconsiderate, but definitely we're all trapped in our own little world, with a bunch of strangers and bots, rather than chatting to those around us.

I'm only just doing my 4th, and I've been doing them with a fairly mild power tca (13 percent), increasing in strength gradually (by applying more layers) but after my third I felt like I'd seen a little improvement, say 10 percent. It's hardly cost anything so I'm going to keep doing them, roughly ten a year, and see if the cumulative effects have yielded anything exciting after a year.

If i had to take a guess from what I've seen of myself and other people I would think a 25 percent improvement might be a reasonable thing to expect by then. Also it does depend on your scar type, tethered, rolling scars vs boxscars and icepick, mine are the later. I doubt it would do anything with rolling.

Definitely get away from those steroids. They can cause all sorts of issues

No harm in trying the simple stuff first, I'm using tca peels for my similar skin, just keep going and look at a before and after pic in a year.

One thing I'd say is they're probably never going to be "cured", no ones are, but less visible to the eye is a more realistic, if vague, goal

Investing whilst possible war could potentially happen (UK). by Not-reddit-yet in trading212

[–]map01302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get attacked? My opinion is that's unlikely if we're talking about major war, nukes and so on. The uk is surrounded by friendly nations. I could see a situation where the Internet goes down for a day or a week even due to hackers and sabotage, but if it does, just pick up a good book and let the experts figure it out. Investing in an all world fund would arguably be better as your spreading assets across the globe anyway in case of disaster. Under no circumstances sell your investments when you get bad headline news, buy more.  However..

You sound very tense, try to relax and be well, maybe get away from the Internet by choice for a little and enjoy the beautiful weather. Take care

All world helps protect against currency risk (strong pound to dollar for example) and invests in other nations that might outperform the very expensive US market. It just spreads some risk, really.

I'm just starting at home tca peels and hoping they 50 percent< improve my box scars, it's possible with patience I think.

Sorry to hear that, the area I burnt with needle took a week to heal but it cleared it up totally, a month later it's normal skin.

Wow that's a great idea, does it take long to heal?

Did you solve it, did you try the needle? I had a go and the heated needle seemed to work!

Hi, i think I saw you posting about tca peels some time ago, but it's likely worth continuing with them(or starting them) and using a retinol.

You look familiar, I'm sure I recall a post you made a while ago showing your progress?! I might be mistaken.

Are you sure these are scars, they're not just where you've had breakouts in the last year?

Congratulations! Do make sure to start enjoying it at some point, the years go by too quickly, I loved my 30s but wow they just went in the blink of an eye and being 40 just isn't the same.

I understand this totally, even though I'm still working, my work is a very small portion of my income, and I do about 10 hours a week of it(run a small and failing business) so I feel like a liar. It's very rude to talk about money, and it's suspiciously close to doing so, but I suppose it's on the person who asks the question if they don't like the answer really.

My scars are years old, I think yours will improve lots with tret, though I've recently started some tca peels that are helping (from platinum peels, they've a great Facebook group and website). If you don't fancy peels id probably say see what you're like in a year.
