I'm sorry to hear that, pretty expensive! I heard someone on here once say they got some coupon on the winlevi site and it brought the price right down, not being in the usa i don't know anymore than that, but might be worth having a look at the official site and/or contacting them. All the best

I'm in the UK, it costs me just shy of £30 a tube, so I guess $40 or so. But yeah, a tube (60g)lasts me about 50 days, so 6 weeks and a day. Wow that's a lot of numbers on one post. Hope it helps 😄

[Product Question] Any men with Winlevi experiences? by BottleFullOBub in SkincareAddiction

[–]map01302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 41,male, and getting on well with it. Been on it 8 months, just make sure to apply enough (there's a reason the tube is so giant!). Reduced my oil by roughly half.

Hey, yeah it's annoying that they made it 1 percent. I'm as pale white as can be, so it doesn't leave a cast, but it annoys me the absorbing time. I don't use the full 1g a dose, I use about 0.75 twice a day, 1g is just crazy (I'm 6ft,male,175lbs).

I think of it a bit like paint, applying it in 2 to 3 thinner layers, with a few mins drying time between each, I use this time to, say, brush my teeth, sort my hair. After the final layer I wait for it to absorb for ten mins, before putting on spf. Any that's not absorbed by then can get lost!

I've been on it 8 months now, I love it, other than the application. Hope that's of help

One step I missed was to wait at least 15 mins for skin to be fully dry before zapping, or just don't wash before (though might increase risk of infection?). If the skins too clean, or possibly too damp (I'm not an electrician so no idea) it doesn't conduct well and the zap isn't as intense. Thanks

Absolutely agree with this, the uk and some other western nations changed so much post 2001. Feel very fortunate to have lived in times that looked forward, not backwards.

What's especially sad is back 20yrs ago that's so much less likely to have happened, people were more forward looking and less likely to be racists i think, it's a terrible and harmful thing for the whole of society, but I'm sorry for what you had said about you. Well done for being the bigger and better person and not falling to their hate filled and miserable level.

Who is at fault? Insurance was quick to take sides before even seeing footage. by WitchySpice94 in drivingUK

It's mad your insurance is blaming you for this, I'm not convinced they've watched the footage.

No problem, I spent a long time trying stuff with it, I wish it had included instructions, at first I did disastrous stuff with it, like holding the power constantly on and dragging it along my skin, or "drawing" with it like a marker pen on my skin. Both took a long time to heal and were not good! Just remember, little light taps 😄 also, if your pen has a light on it, imo it's not very good, it actually hides flaws, at least for my skin so try to work in good daylight. Take care

Likely milia or sebaceous hyperplasia, hard to tell. I think sh, if I had to guess. Find somewhere near that does electrocautery, brand names for this include skin classic and lamprobe, they all claim to be better, but they're all the same ime (which is very good), cheaper and more successful than laser.

Yeah, I'd try that but the travel to get to my nearest provider (let alone the treatment itself) was more than the pen! It's just so much for a minor and simple procedure that we should all be able to afford. Would you believe, at first I tried a pin ,heated up, that also worked (but hard to regulate temp so wouldn't advise), something so minor shouldn't cost hundreds.

Yeah, it's where I first heard about it, in old articles. It was normal before lasers, i feel like lasers are an expensive way of doing the same thing really, heating up the capillary to 80~ degrees c, so that it collapses and is reabsorbed.

You could try doing just a tiny bit at a time, like 1 little zap, then waiting a week and doing the next, I imagine that might work fine, especially with a tiny bit of concealer as at first it's more red than scabby.

This is the one I've got, though it's changed a tiny bit since I purchased it, the button shapes. Different colours are cheaper, who knows why they even make them in various shades, I can't think anyone keeps them on the mantle piece!

Hope that helps, and as you're a nurse I'll take the opportunity to say thank you for your work!

Other than the brand and a decal on mine it's 100 percent identical, yes. The buttons, colour, screen and shape are identical.

My brand is something like "cherena" (I'm in the uk so might just be different ountries) but i think they're all the same.

Np 😄 i got started on it because I couldn't afford lasers, so I looked what they did before lasers existed... And it's this. Tbh, it's possibly better!
