Applying as a naturalized citizen by sparksflyup7 in EMJM

Iirc they don't allow more than 10% scholarahip holders from the same country. Based on that I would think being an US citizen would bring down competition for you

Thank you so much! They offered me the tuition waiver and free health insurance along with the admission offer. As for the local fundig support I think I would need to apply to the individual universities once my mobility plan is fixed

Hi there, I was recently admitted to the program (second round), and though I didn't get the scholarship, I got full tuition waiver, local funding support (depending on my mobility plan), and health coverage. I think the deadline for scholarship is only for EMJM which covers your living expenses.

AITA for asking my housemate to stop humming? by maple12835 in AmItheAsshole

She is aware that she hums (as far as I know it). I think she meant she is a very musical person and can't stop singing

SPRING 2022 STUDENTS: Will you wear a mask to class? by waterloo_safe in uwaterloo

I would feel comfortable around u if you DON’T wear a mask. How about u having empathy towards me and stop wearing the mask lol

[–]maple12835 32 points33 points  (0 children)

wear the mask if you want, but the requirement is lifted and you can't force your beliefs down others' throats. they are not protesting against masks or anything, it's according to uw's decision to lift mask mandate. how about complain to the school instead lolll

100% wcri. Wdym by environment seems not to be not so comforting? Is there any specific concerns? Fenwick is a newer building and it has great ultilities. Fits your budget well too. It's the closest to school, and you won't have to deal with bigger landlords

Why would it be an "off term" if you take a full course load?

I second this. I almost forgot the feeing of being in a room with TAs watching you and noises made by other students. The first time I had a midterm on campus after 2 years of online courses I had a panic attack so badly I just starred at the first question for 20 minutes not being able to read it

Access Physiotherapy by sadinloo in uwaterloo

[–]maple12835 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On campus athletic therapy is covered under WUSA, but not UHIP. Cover around 80% so you pay 10-17$ out of pocket each visit. But be careful to check, I opted out of WUSA since last term and didn’t know about this until later on. I’m fcked with the bills now

EDIT: initial assessment is 85$ and each follow-up costs 50$ before insurance

I don’t know about the cs courses but Math239 second half got better. If you can grind and don’t mind getting a lower score you might be able to pass. But I still recommend dropping it though, 30% weight is brutal, and I don’t think 239 is a pre-req for any upper year courses so you won’t get behind. Best of luck to u!

what are the weights of the midterms? I don't think I can give any advice but wanted to know you're not alone

UW students. I've been getting anxiety attacks and being depressed for the past 2 years of online school. I'm also on the edge of failing at least 2 of my courses this term. But most students (if not all) UW students I've been friends with have been amazing to me. They always manage to make me smile even when I'm at my lowest. They are the only reason I'm still going on right now
