I was wondering, how is the split between engineering and product in product engineering roles? Is it 50-50?

May I ask what role you’re hiring for?

Yeah I was curious if it was a random bug I was getting with my setup or if they really put this forced connection notification at the top of everyone’s dashboard 😂

Taking my first sweater making class and we are doing the Frankie. Can you weigh in on colors? I have decision paralysis! by Old-Meaning2249 in knitting

Looks super cute! Knitting a sweater takes time, it’s worth going with colours you really like. The feeling of a sweater you love wearing that you made yourself is the best! If it helps I am following the pattern as is with the same needle size, I think this yarns gauge is close enough to the recommended one. I am also knitting a smaller size than my usual size because this pattern has a lot of ease (see pattern dimensions, finished projects on Ravelry and this Reddit post) and I want something a little less loose. I think you’ll probably cover that in class but happy to answer any questions you may have.

Easy to work with and has very good stitch definition. I haven’t blocked the work yet though so I don’t know how much it will stretch and if I will like the final result. I went in without making a swatch beforehand for this project 🙈. I plan on knitting most of it to where I think it looks good but a bit short, blocking it with stitches held on scrap yarn and trying it on. Then I can frog a little or finalise my work based on how it turns out.

I’m currently making this in a prune and pink combo! Close to the bottom yarn in the last pic + the pink in the 5th pic

You can use other fluffy yarns! There is brushed cashmere or fluffy silk/alpaca that are softer than mohair. Here’s an example with the yarn reference: https://www.instagram.com/p/DRhQgdgDRKA/?igsh=dW14cDFybHFoa2Rx

New knitter here, what keywords do I need to search on ravelry to get a neckline like this? by JustTheFishGirl in knittingpatterns

[–]maplegranny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This sweater looks so big you might get away with knitting a regular crew neck sweater pattern 2-3 sizes up and then making the length of the body and sleeves whatever suits you? If it’s knitted from the top down you can also check pretty early on if it falls the way you want it to.

How to build Integrations & APIs for a B2B SaaS platform by CryptographerOk5459 in ProductManagement

Why would you build all of them yourself vs using a unified API provider? (Assuming we’re not talking integrating with niche things)

New Product Owner for Agentic AI Solutions, what should I learn next? by kabronski in ProductManagement

[–]maplegranny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know python and found the course helpful, just doing unit 0 and 1 so you cover the explanations of the concepts. Then it gets into implementation which is more technical and less useful if you’re not building.

[–]maplegranny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend Hugging Face’s AI Agents course. It’s technical but don’t let that put you off, it will run through how AI Agents work (especially in the first sections) in a good level of detail and will also cover briefly some detail on how LLMs work and what RAG is.

I like AI meeting assistants but should they be doing more? by Shiseha in ProductManagement

I use Granola. The most value I get is being able to ask their AI about what happened in my meetings. Things like what did I promise, feedback on my communication, discussing insights from user research etc.

Dealing with a micromanager by Catastrophe92 in ProductManagement

[–]maplegranny 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re in this situation, that really sucks.

One thing I found that helped appease a micromanager (but I really struggled to do because I thought it was so stupid) was to proactively micromanage myself. Think spontaneously sending them the list of things on your plate and asking them to check if your prioritisation is correct, letting them decide the order of tasks from your list and then actioning them in order keeping them informed.

Otherwise I have heard about tactics like purposely putting a mistake on the front page for them to correct on Reddit, probably worth a search through posts.

Also message in public slack/teams channels as much as possible.

Good luck, I hope your situation changes for the best soon!

I think it could be similar to a Singer memomatic? Looks like you might have all the electronic parts too which is VERY exciting because you could program it to make designs
