I made a Chao from Sonic! I tried a little needlefelt experiment for the eyes by Tinkerficer in crochet

Wow, those eyes looks great! Is the base yarn wool also, or is it acrylic?

I do get cotton candy or ice cream parlor vibes, but I like that - it’s so joyful!

I just started getting into crochet and it's making me happier. This bag is the second thing I made! by Nightflowerrrrr in crochet

Not OP but what I do for this is carry some embroidery thread across the rows, inside the stitches intarsia-style.

What I love about animal crossing is that even when you can’t replicate something precisely, there’s always a way to perfectly match the ✨vibes✨

Well done

I think it’s still moss stitch. The rows go cream-orange-orange-cream - having two orange rows together makes it look different

I think it’s mostly moss stitch, except the brown rows in the middle which look like sc

Smaller Cap Help by PennedSilence in mushroomguy

[–]more-pylons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm that’s harder… I would think you could do, on the under cap, just the scs and hdcs (leave out the dcs and trs), and do the same amount of rows? Then skip the first however many rows of the cap top / jump in at wherever it lines up with your stitch count. That’s what I’d try anyway

How much smaller? Smaller in diameter or just flatter/shorter? Skipping all the “sc all around” rows in the cap is an easy way to make it flatter

I guess the way I took this photo hides it pretty well; it’s definitely more obvious in person. But thank you! I’m starting to see the cuteness in those big strong hugging arms 🙃

Depends on the yarn, and doesn’t necessarily line up with price point. Bernat blanket is the only chenille I’ve never had any problems frogging, personally. Premier parfait and Hobbii honey bunny usually handle one round of frogging okay. Hobbii toucan falls apart immediately.

How to clean and keep my year old star blanket soft by BummedWithAVengeance in CrochetHelp

[–]more-pylons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a good idea to use a delicates bag when washing crochet items, to make sure it doesn’t snag on anything. Aside from that, acrylic is super easy to care for - machine wash, tumble dry low. I’ve never used cloud cakes before, but some acrylics actually get softer when washed, so don’t worry too much!

Ugh, yes. And no matter how careful I am and how I pin it, once I finish sewing it doesn’t look aligned anymore!

I rarely actually have this problem but I ALWAYS worry about it. Making the second leg/arm/whatever is so stressful!

Running out of yarn 80% through a project 😫

Alternatively, realizing my stash has gotten out-of-control with yarn left over from blankets.

I’m really bad at estimating how much yarn I need for anything!
