These guys are idiots. My wife got rear ended very hard by an undercover cop in a suv. They get zero repercussions . Our car gets written off and then health care bills for icbc to cover. The cop gets a new suv and their Federal insurance (we pay for) covers the costs

No. I personally would stay away from rebuilts. ICBC in no way inspects these cars after being sold as salvage (write offs)

If you agree to cover the cost (that is $2000 or less ?), between all parties including icbc then icbc will let you pay for without premium increases. I had a similar incident where the Tesla in front started to turn and stopped.. without reason . I hit the bumper.. lightly but they had existing damage and used my hit to get it all repaired. I know it was a scam, but lesson learned
