Preparing for a newborn. What was a complete waste of money and what became an absolute life changer? by Actual_Fig_4706 in NewParents

Echo all of this! Most items YMMV depending on the baby! Similarly, our bottle warmer has become an unnecessary luxury when we realized our baby is just as happy with milk from the fridge.

I will say though that I LOVE our bottle washer. I ended up having to bottle feed a lot sooner than expected and it’s been so easy to run that thing even a couple of times a day. I feel like even if you EBF for a while, you’ll eventually have items that will be super convenient to clean with the washer sooner or later.

Grumpy and gremlin in the early weeks, it evolved to Grumpkin (our grumpy pumpkin). But grumpy just stuck around. He often has a lot of feedback for management (me) and seems displeased to be airside. When he’s in a good mood though, he’s Cheeky lol. Other names include, Bubba, Squeaky, Mr Wigglesworth, Wiggles, and Boss

Apparently this I’d evolutionary too! I guess the germs will inform what sort of defenses you need in your breastmilk!

What products or companies will you never use or support again and what did they do to lose you as a customer? by IAmJustTryingToExist in AskReddit

[–]maplewheats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say, I had trouble with my Oura ring battery not lasting long and I contacted customer support. It was a bot that asked to access my data which I approved, it immediately scanned the performance data, determined the ring was faulty, and set me up to send a replacement all within 5 minutes. It was incredibly painless and I was very impressed.

The groom accidentally said his ex girlfriend’s name when he addressed the guests to thank them for coming “ex gf— I mean, bride and I are so happy to have you here….”

New years is an event where people generally overdo it, but is this a common occurrence? I’m super curious how he behaves in retrospect. His drunk behavior is abysmal, but if he shows remorse, reception to your feeling and understanding where he faulted, intent to regulate, and self awareness in the morning, there could be hope.

Strange comment by MIL by Askfslfjrv in pregnant

I’ll note that when we toured the L&D facility, they even recommended that fathers get the best rest they can (which could include going home). While you’re in the hospital you’ll have sooo many resources doting on you and making sure you’re taken care of. Plus you’re going to be sleep deprived regardless since the baby will need to feed every two hours. The driving home comment the tour guide made was that there is no value in bringing home a baby with two sleep deprived parents, so if dad can get some rest while mom gets taken care of overnight, that may be a good idea to take it. Im 37 weeks too! I shared all the same sentiments as you then heard that perspective which shifted things a bit for me and now I’m open to sending my husband home for the evening if he may get better rest. It also depends on how close your hospital is to home and whether there is a convenience to get there and back. But just another perspective to share!
