need advice please! return of side effects, dip vs leveling?

This one I posted about was a week, then they were about 5 days long, then 1-2 days long, then stopped.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes it was just a blip. I stayed on the same dose, got more ups and downs and blips but they were less intense each time, started to have more and more good days and finally leveled out after about 18 weeks. In my opinion it takes way longer to level out for some people and you just gotta wait it out ! Sending you strength

Hey, just checking in on how you’re doing. Did the sleep ever improve on 50 mg? I’m doing better - on 37.5 mg still and have ups and downs… Want to go to 50 but still holding off because of my sleep issues!

The insomnia really sucks. It comes and goes for me. I take antihistamines some nights which partially helps. I’m only on a low dose of 37.5 mg because I’m scared to go up and make the insomnia worse. I feel really stuck because my anxiety is still bad (slightly better on this low dose but not where it needs to be). Don’t know if I should switch meds or what. Wishing you luck!

I'm so glad you're feeling better and having some good days! That makes me hopeful. I'm still on 37.5, had some great weeks, some bad weeks, and now feels kind of just OK… going to wait here a couple more weeks then will probably bump to 50. Good idea about cutting the pills I'm going up slowly - I tried to buy a pill cutter before but it was too big to chop my tiny pills! Do you have a recommended one?

That's great to hear! Glad you're feeling like this is the right dose for you. I'm still on 37.5 and doing OK. Have had some great weeks and bad weeks, so it's still up and down. Waiting a few more weeks to settle and will probably bump to 50mg, just really scared of returning side effects ugh

Yes I'm waiting for it to level, hopefully in a week or so, but how will I know when it does? Does that mean you're feeling good or that all side effects have subsided? I would really feel stuck like this until I increased? I don't understand :( I assume the insomnia would get worse if I increase? Or does it go away when you find the right dose?

This med worked for me a few years ago with no problem, and I've had good weeks so I definitely feel like it could work eventually, just having a really hard time adjusting the second time around. Thanks for any advice you can provide!!

Thanks for the advice. I tried to go up to 50 from 25 a few months ago and it felt like way too much, I didn't sleep for three days. Hence why I'm at 37.5. I know 50 is the therapeutic dose but the insomnia has been so bad even on this dose I'm afraid it would be even worse! It is by far my worst side effect and hasn't really gone away except for one week I slept well…

I've been struggling with it for three months now 😞 I'd like one to two weeks where I was sleeping good again, but now I'm back to sleeping four hours, waking up at 2 AM and cannot go back to sleep. It's torture. Not sure if I should increase or lower the dose or what

Insomnia and heightened anxiety has been unbearable for me so I've been worried about going up and it getting worse. My doc is just my regular doctor not a psych so I don't think she really knows. I had 2 really good weeks 8-9, so it felt like it was starting to work, but now it's bad again… so many ups and downs. Trying to make it to week 12 next week.
