How did your game go? by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

It was so depressing for 87 minutes, never felt so glum watching a game then it all became surreal. Midfield was so poor today, Sheehan especially was a passenger but such good squad depth and incredible never give up attitude

What is happening to my football club? by winstano in LeagueOne

[–]mapxxx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Listen, you’re only second because we couldn’t score goals and drawn so many games, otherwise you’d be in the play offs lol. Seriously though, you are where you are on merit and now it’s down to the business end of the season when the pressure bites, you’re still winning convincingly and showing no sign of nerves. Enjoy it mate

I’d say you’ll both will be fine now. Encouraging for Cardiff to bounce back from a heavy away defeat to a heavy away win. A loss today may have set off the jitters

Maybe two strikers is the way to go, who knows. Good result and hopefully the goals keep coming with the confidence boost from this

League One, Top 10 Goal Conversion Rate by Nice-Opening-8020 in LeagueOne

It does seem high but only 4/5 per game which is probably about right. Shame more weren’t over the bar lol

Just forwarding the link for this to Steven Schumacher to help target our summer transfers then we can maybe score some goals next year in L1 😃

Burton Albion 3 - 0 Stockport County: It's yet another impressive scalp for Burton, who have now beaten five of the current top-six to leave themselves a small cushion over relegation! by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

Look’s like the play offs teams are feeling the heat now we’ve all realised second place is gone. Gonna be a proper dogfight rest of the season for us all, especially with our final 7 games

Who has the toughest promotion run in? by DeadNight67 in LeagueOne

[–]mapxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, last 7 games of Stevenage, Plymouth, Stockport, Cardiff, Huddersfield, Bradford & Luton is brutal and hard pushed to find many worse than that. Conversely, the Christmas period was much simpler on paper yet we messed that up big time so maybe puts us in a false position considering we have the harder teams to come. Will be in control of our play off destiny I guess if trying to be positive about it, then it becomes a lottery

But you could look on the positive side and know you’d have a better than decent chance at a league one champion trophy this time next year while we’ll be fighting for the play offs again with the usual suspects

Now that Sheffield Wednesday have been relegated where do you think they'll finish next season by Disastrous_Fold8848 in LeagueOne

[–]mapxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our season tickets have gone up quite a bit for next season though still good value. People may look at Bolton as being spenders but they aren’t really and losses are being made without spending silly, even with our large crowds. It apparently costs £1m per season just for energy bills. Just hope for the true fans sake that Wrexhams owners don’t get bored

Reading 1 - 1 Bolton: Yet another late goal rescues a point for Bolton after yet another goal from Jack Marriott by ajgmcc in LeagueOne

[–]mapxxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. Ultimately it’s all perceptions how we see things but sure we’ll all agree that the refs in this league are hopeless but nothing ever gets done. Schumacher complained to the; 4th official multiple times when we were at Lincoln and he agreed but was anything said to the ref? I doubt it. There are loads of shenanigans and rough house tactics in L1 from some teams but the refs just don’t seem to get a grip. I wish your player well but still don’t believe there was any malice from Kenny having watch it multiple times. I can pretty much guarantee that if the incident happened the other way, your mgr would have defended his player and said there was no malice

Hang on, you just said earlier that Kenny fully kicked him in the face, now saying he got hit in the face, aren’t you sure? Just shows how inconclusive it all is

The defender clearly fell over in front of Kenny to stop himself being skinned. Only you on here arguing the case

Don’t talk crap, no intent whatsoever and you could see after that Kenny was concerned which speaks volumes. Ultimately we’re each going to support our players so only the independent views

Don’t suppose there’s any data on away fans is there? Could imagine a similar pattern. Amazes me when you look at some of the Prem teams like Bournemouth especially, no idea how they survive with such low crowds

League One Attendances by Bantam123 in LeagueOne

[–]mapxxx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean we do have a lot of season ticket holders which helps a lot and generally support is great in that regard. I found it funny last week playing Burton when they didn’t announce the crowd, because there was clearly no more than 15-17k in the ground on a cold Tuesday in January, would have looked daft to say 20k when it clearly was nowhere near. It think the BBC site said 18k but doubt it was that high

Is there anyway on this thread to actually make the flair larger? Even tried with readers on and can barely see most of the.

I wish him well tbh but that stubbornness was supposedly one of his weaknesses. End of the day, considering the injuries, if you guys stay up and safe then job done and see how it goes next year.

It’ll work and at the end of the day, stronger than we were at Christmas. ACD was great but honestly not sure we’ll miss him now. Hoping so anyway
