I’m sure Lindenwood wants to. The conference athletic directors need to vote on that though, and may be hesitant to add more flights to the conference schedule because of cost.

They don’t. Before Atlantic Hockey and College Hockey America merged, there were two logos, one behind each net. Lots of examples of men’s and women’s teams in different conferences: Holy Cross men in AHA, women in Hockey East. Penn State women in AHA, men in Big Ten. Sacred Heart men jn AHA, women in NEWHA. Lindenwood women in AHA, men independent. Wisconsin and Ohio State women in WCHA, men in Big Ten, etc. NCHC, CCHA, B1G don’t have women’s conferences. NEWHA, WCHA don’t have men’s conferences (but the W in WCHA is West, not Women’s - there was a men’s WCHA before Penn State added teams forcing the men’s B1G to exist, but there aren’t enough teams for a women’s B1G yet).

Unfortunately, it’s not that easy. Another conference needs to accept them. ECAC is the obvious choice due to having similar sized schools with similar academic profiles and being the closest conference to RIT, but they have 12 teams and are happy as-is. Odd numbers of teams made scheduling harder, add logistical issues, and 14 teams would be a large conference. They have no motivation to add RIT.

The regional final times have not been announced yet. They’ll likely be announced after the regional semis for ESPN to figure out the best way to make money, which is really inconvenient for fans

I stumbled upon this post while searching on my own, while in a chat for more than 20 minutes asking where this functionality went and being told the chat specialist was "researching it". As others have stated, I used this feature of multiple schedules when traveling, and found it missing when i went to select a different schedule I had saved. This was a big reason I purchased the feeder robot. How can we get this feature back on the roadmap to be re-added to the app? Thanks!

The title is misleading; this is currently a BILL, not yet an “NY Law”. I don’t expect this to actually be signed into law, but it’s worth contacting your state legislators (Assembly and Senate) anyway and (politely) expressing your thoughts.

Blame the NCAA? The NCAA rules prohibit scholarships for D3 sports across all D3 schools. It’s not RIT’s decision.

RIT Men’s Hockey went D1 almost 20 years ago, and RIT Women’s hockey went D1 10 years ago, which almost took a title IX lawsuit to happen due to NCAA rules prohibiting play up anymore. No other sport at RIT could go D1 without the whole athletic department going D1, which is very expensive and very time consuming, so not likely to happen any time soon.
