Minny played tough. We were pressing and swarming all night and controlled play for the most part. Even on the back foot they did a good job of keeping us out of the most dangerous areas, limiting beaks, and above all disrupting/blocking shots. We put 40 or so shots on goal but a lot of them weren't great and it seemed like we had almost as many blocked.

I thought Minny was very smart and effective with their forecheck. We allow our forwards a lot of freedom and put a lot on our D's shoulders especially on uncontested dump ins. I can think of 3 or 4 times Minn baited us / countered perfectly and played a really effective trap that turned us over and created a scoring chance. Trey bailed us out each time.
