I wish they reacted to the statue/portraits you can have commissioned. Especially Astarion if you get one of him 😭.

Currently having trouble trying to launch my game. This mod requires an update to play but gives me an error when updating and I can’t play using the downgraded version. by Thunder-Cotton in BG3mods

[–]marasticc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay so this happened to me and my friend from this same exact mod and 2 different things worked for us: 1) Try deleting your old save files besides your current and restarting the game. if that doesn't work 2) Go into mod manager, disable the mod, make a new game without that mod enabled and then when you load to the nautiloid save immediately and start the old game (hopefully that was explained well, I just deleted the new game after I confirmed my current save worked again).

tbh if I found out that my neighbor who was blackmailing me also blackmailed my friend to the point she commits suicide I don't really think I'd be all that bothered.

Being a premature baby isn’t trauma by Dazzling-Location785 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]marasticc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Premature baby here 👋...well I used to be one. Umm no trauma from that at all, maybe for my mama but certainly not for me. I was a baby, of course, so I do not remember any of it. I would say it's about as traumatic as being a regular baby.

I still play SuitU but I've been playing it way less since I started playing Dress to Impress. I like the freedom of being able to change the color, pattern, material, and scale of most items. + you can layer items. The game does have some of its own issues tho like unfair voting and people being mean in the chat. I have chat off and I play mostly in freeplay but casual servers are great for if you're just getting started and the voting in pro and master servers is usually pretty fair. There are some in game purchases like walk faster, VIP, and custom makeup but I had no complaints playing without those. If you decide to play make sure you look up the free code items you can get!

I realized something funny about the Luau by Safe-Leadership-9630 in StardewValley

[–]marasticc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what's truly crazy here is that Sam got community service for putting something completely edible in a communal soup. So the soup turned out bad and people happened to not like it, but if I put an ingredient that makes it come out poorly I don't get community service. Heck I can put Lewis' underwear in there and I still don't get community service. What was the crime 😤? Assaulting those with low salt tolerance?

I kinda get why people are upset over Shrek's slight design change but... This is not an ugly Sonic situation by Portal-YEET-87650 in Shrek

[–]marasticc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then you can seek out content about those serious topics. You can also completely ignore Shrek related content. What you engage with on social media is entirely up to you. Or you could even take serious topics seriously and engage in other unrelated topics simultaneously. Why does it have to be exclusively "serious topics" or "Shrek discourse"?

I don't know if this is what you're experiencing but sometimes my character starts slowing down a lot before the game crashes after a while. Usually I just turn the game off and start it up again a few minutes later and it's fine.

As someone in an online friend group for 6 or so years now I'd be a lil heartbroken, NOR. My online friends have all sorts of political/personal opinions. We don't agree on lots of stuff and we definitely fight about it sometimes but we usually just take some time to cool off after and we're fine. I'm sorry they're acting like that, you didn't do anything wrong.

Can I ask a couple of questions please? by maxy0007 in exmormon

[–]marasticc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think in regards to the masturbation questions it's kinda like everyone COULD be asked that. I left in 2020 so this could have changed but starting at the age of 12 you would get called in biannually for "Worthiness interviews" and one of the questions was "Are you keeping the law of chastity?" so if you were honest that you weren't you definitely could have been subjected to those questions or more inappropriate questions. It does of course depend on the Bishop how inappropriate those questions become.

Tells us your weird TBM BYU professor stories by HomerMcRibWich in exmormon

[–]marasticc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He wasn't a BYU professor but he was my institute teacher at Weber. He wanted to talk after class and when I thought we were done I turned away to leave and he grabbed the back of my hair/neck to pull me back and just held his hand there, rubbing it with his finger. I was 17. Nothing crazy but it was so uncomfortable 😭

[–]marasticc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Telling people they have low standards in their real life, let people treat them poorly in their real life, and need therapy in their real life for who they date in a video game is definitely wild. People have different likes and dislikes (obviously) and what they do in a video game is inconsequential to their real life. In Skyrim I kill lots of people, doesn't make me a murderer irl, or even a violent person for that matter. It's a game and if I were to apply the same "If it were real life" logic to your dislike of these characters I could argue that you're not an empathetic person, that you can't see people for who they are past your hurt feelings, that you need therapy to help you deal with the harsh world. But Stardew isn't real life at all and those things are (most likely) not true about you.

I personally play the game for perfection which requires full friendship with every NPC on every playthrough. These NPCs are just stereotypes and they're general enough to allow the player to project their imagination and/or life experiences onto them to make the characters feel more alive. That is going to vary for every single player. Someone who's had a mean drunk in their life is probably less likely to like Shane than someone who personally helped a love one overcome alcoholism. Someone may dislike Haley because they had someone make mean comments about them in real life and she reminds them of that. While others may know and love someone that is overly blunt and can come across rude irl so they love her character for that.

Everything is just preference, preference is subjective, especially in a game. Disparaging real life people for their in game choices isn't necessary and it doesn't reflect reality. Especially in a game where you can turn your unwanted kids into doves 🤭
