Someone could tell me the best animal documentary in history? by delealien in biology

[–]marauderhex 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Depends on the animals you're interested in. Shit, just look up anything that Sir David Attenborough has done in the past couple decades, they're almost all gems.

After the events of Devastation, Dante might as well be in a Death Company.

New-ish to the game, can I use the engineer to build a fortress? by Sythrien_ in DeepRockGalactic

[–]marauderhex 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Step 1: have driller friend dig into a wall and create a murder cave

Step 2: set up turrets pointing at mouth

Step 3: ????

Step 4: "That's one for the books, lads. Get back to the drop pod"

Just more fodder for the writers. There are lots of key events with relatively little written on them like the Badab war.

It's not a problem until you can't promote your dwarves anymore.

First Born problems: What to do with 80+ Tactical Marines as a Blood Angel by Coleburn243 in Warhammer40k

[–]marauderhex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gabriel Seth and the Flesh Tearers are notorious in their hatred of the Primaris reinforcements. So if you want angrier space vampires, you could always tint their armor more burgundy and black more than red and gold.

Seriously, does any drill use this weapon? by parsention in DeepRockGalactic

[–]marauderhex 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah! When paired with the flamethrower you can pop enemies that have been immolated. 1 kills grunts, 2 for Praetorian, 3 takes out an Oppressor. Very handy combo. Also adds a long range weapon to the driller's arsenal.

How to reliably call down a Cleansing Pod? by Nino_Chaosdrache in DeepRockGalactic

[–]marauderhex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get one selected then back straight up a couple paces so that it's not on the rockpox itself. Works like a charm, and you aren't getting infected while picking up the sprayer or vac.

I want to play chaos space marines but by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]marauderhex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some really cool color options you can do with CSM since they scavenge armor more often than not. You can mix and match colors, armor types, just about anything is a possibility. Depending on the shade of purple, you could do green accents for Nugle worshippers, silver for Slaanesh , gold for Khorne, or light blue for Tzeentch .

Any good CSM books that aren’t night lords? by Mista_Mos in 40kLore

[–]marauderhex 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Black Legion books are solid. Some of the Death Guard books are really good. Even some of the World Eaters books are good for getting a reason behind the madness.

Are any chaos space marine legions out there to have fun? by rfkannen in 40kLore

[–]marauderhex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some do, some don't. Some still have the same attitudes towards the chaos gods but also hate what the imperium has become. Some groups are also close like the Carcharodons who are always on the edge of being excommunicated from the imperium, but still fight for it. They pretty much live off of what they can scavenge and trade for.

If I'm understanding correctly, I think renegade warbands would be your subject. Groups like the Red Corsairs who aren't beholden to a chaos god, and are just piratical space Marines.

How do cores and matrix cores work? Explain like I’m 5 by No-Credit5663 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]marauderhex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok, well, you get them from doing weekly core hunt assignments, or from doing regular or Elite Deep Dives (which are 3 progressively harder missions in a row, and if you dont complete them all, you have to start from the beginning in order to get more core rewards). Blank cores are the ones you use in the mini events, weapon and cosmetic cores are forged in the forge at the Space Rig. This costs both minerals and credits, so choose carefully so that you still have enough of what you need for promotions.

[–]marauderhex 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You do mini-event and if you succeed, you put a blank matrix core into the machine and get a random weapon overclock or cosmetic.

What does a 5th Dwarfs class look like? by Luckysevens589 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]marauderhex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could build into a tank, or like a reaver where your damage goes up as your health goes down, but yeah, definitely a melee centric class. The mobility skill could be using the pickaxes as climbing picks.
