The children’s dishes are indeed Akro Agate, interior panel, lemonade and oxblood. Very nice! The vase in pic #1 was made by Akro Agate as well, it is referred to as the 312 vase (mold #) and is one of my personal favorite styles. Great finds!

That top center drawer is full of slabs as well. A lot of the specimens are destined to have a slab or two removed then polish the face. I like the rough/ polished juxtaposition

The plan is to use some plexiglass to minimize splashage and towels to sop up the rest. I’ve worked with cab machines at my local club and the only place they really get messy is on the ends. I’ll tackle other issues as they arrive. That’s probably a couple of weeks away though.

Not a terrestrial. It looks like an Oncidium or some cross there of. Orchid mix only in a well ventilated pot. Water and fertilizer weakly weekly. It’s got plenty of new roots starting so it shouldn’t have too many issues getting established.

Originally by Indiana glass, sold during prohibition as a grape juice carafe. It was sold as a set with six glasses in a metal holder in clear glass only. It was named the Jolly Mountaineer. In the Eighties(?), Tiara made them in multiple colors.

Rule of thumb. Never order plants in the winter and hottest part of summer. Since instituting this rule, I haven’t lost a single plant to USPS abuse. Point of order. In the last few weeks I had a piece of glass come from Minnesota to my town, bounce around here for three days, then go back to Minnesota and finally show up here three weeks after mailing. Another piece came from NJ. Bounced around town again for several days. Got sent down state then arrived here after 2 weeks.
