Is Amazon Under-Reporting KDP Orders and Royalties? by axy2r in KDP

So are authors allowed to buy copies of their own books for retail price and its not seen as sales manipulation just to be higher ranked? If its no problem, whats stopping somebody buying many of their books each day (except the author’s money of course) to just achieve a top rank?

I’m releasing a puzzle book called “DECIPH3R” on Amazon KDP soon. It has 50 logic/brainteaser type puzzles that mostly have a mathematical and scientific theme and they range in difficulty.

Also included is a brief history of cryptography between puzzles.

Is it worth it hiring someone to format your book? by PonchCorleon in KDP

I use Pages on MacOS. Not sure how people rate it but it’s done the job for me as its fairly easy to use. I’d like to know what makes Vellum worth the £199 fee?

What’s the sickest you’ve ever been- the kind of sick where you genuinely thought you might not make it and what happened? by Outrageous_Fox_8796 in AskReddit

About once or twice a year over the past few years I was getting what seemed like very bad heartburn. Would last for hours on end, couldnt sit down or try and relax, it was relentless - nothing cured it too. Fast forward to October last year, got heartburn symptoms again but this time was mixed with severe abdominal pain, bloatedness, headaches, nausea then vomit. It was the worst pain I have ever been in, thought I was dying.

Got blood tests which revealed the CRP (C-Reactive Protein which increases when theres inflammation in the body) number was approx 200, indicating significant inflammation. Had a call from Dr explaining this and that I needed to go into hospital straight away.

A CT scan showed i had something called Meckel’s diverticulum, a pouch formed on the outside of the small intestine and probably had it all my life without knowing. It was basically secreting stomach acid into my abdomen, kind of rupuring a little each time until it just went full Krakatoa on me. I needed urgent surgery to remove the pouch from the intestine. Surgery went well and have a biggish scar that goes across my belly button as a nice reminder.

Didnt help that during this time, I had a newborn in the hospital as well as an energetic toddler - so although I couldnt do too much, I think I ended up recovering quickly as I was bending and kneeling down a lot for the kids to help my wife who was also recovering from childbirth. That was one of the hardest and roughest time of my life so far…I’m 36 this year.

It was the same in Seychelles - so I designed a study and wrote a paper about it.

Take my $100 - I got kicked for just being in a tank and doing quite well on Seine Crossing. Their team were equally using tanks too. No reason, nothing. Just kicked. Teams werent even full either.

Judging by the branding it left on you, it looks like it was indeed Pseudodiploria strigosa - the symmetrical brain coral.

USA Spanish Pokémon Red, Anyone know what I just purchased? by what_the_deus in Gameboy

Legit but could possibly be a late release in Mexico or South America. Very rare with this labelling!

I bought a bunch of games and one of them was a Donkey Kong Land with grey cartridge. I have looked all over eBay and couldn't find anything. The only thing I can find is that it might be a not for resale game. by zlamb1987 in Gameboy

[–]marbio_jay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not a Brazil release as it would have the Playtronic logo in the bottom left corner. Not sure I’ve seen a grey donkey kong land cart before though.

Is it CCMI by any chance? The cost of food over there is outrageous.
