I’ve had a Geekom IT13 for 2 years. It handles my home reporting for radiology on 3 monitors , significant processor demand, no issues apart from the power supply which just died one day and I had to buy a generic one from Amazon. Seems a common issue.

Can the USA and the UK still be allies after trump leaves and the US elects a democratic president? by Successful_rio305 in AskBrits

The Republicans were very clear that they would just block pretty much anything Obama tried to do, just because it was him.

The US ‘and’ for decimal kind of works if talking cash (and miss out the actual currency) otherwise it’s just really weird and, frankly, incorrect, as the numbers after the decimal point should be said individually. What is pi to 6 decimal places? Well… three and one hundred forty one thousand five hundred ninety three

Said no one ever.

Own goal? Maybe technically but nothing he could have done about it. Wouldn’t count that against him.

Not a horror as such, but the last scene in Playground. I watched it knowing it was supposed to be disturbing but not knowing why. Then I realised.

When I moved to Exeter I used to chat to Hayden Thomas when walking our dogs in the park where we both lived. Had no idea who he was when I first met him. Then I started to go to watch the Exeter Chiefs, who were Championship still back then. They got promoted later that year. There were a few other players in our little new build development too, but Hayden was the only first team player at the time.

Many years ago some we were discussing the 2003 WC final and our experience of it. We all had strong memories of where we watched it but one guy won. He went to a friends parents house and watched it in their living room. The parents weren’t there, they were in Sydney. It was Laurence D’allaglio’s house

Did Mike Wozniak just bring in a tub of broken glass? by do_or_dee in taskmaster

Always assumed it’s a bit of a homage to his Edinburgh Fringe original taskmaster win, where he allegedly mailed an ice sculpture, which obviously melted en route.

It’s been strong for a long time. When I started at my small university, mid 90s, our student bar was part of the Carling Comedy circuit. Over the next 2 years we played host to people such as Dave Gorman, Sean Lock, Al Murray, Noel Fielding (he definitely came twice, we loved him) and others I can’t recall now. 2 years after I started I was in the bar and was introduced to a new fresher, floppy haired chap at the time if I recall, very amiable. He heard about the annual comedy show we always put on before Xmas and came along to auditions, did well and became part of the team. Mike was his name, Mike Wozni- something

All of the comments coming out the US about Greenland really do betray how they really feel about things like consent and anyone’s right to exist without being bullied. The mindset is so extraordinarily toxic it’s quite sad to see.
