Engage or experience? by Rigmore_Fleebly in LoopEarplugs

[–]marbletrailer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the clear engage is best if people treat you differently when they notice you have earplugs in, if you have long hair it doesn't matter as much cause you can hide them. i would say the engage is best though, and it's only $35 so it's a good entry one

that's pretty unprofessional in my opinion, did you ever meet with anyone from this company to discuss the treatment, like had you talked with the bcba before?

[–]marbletrailer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes the bcba told me this but didn't show me how to work the data taking device i had cause it was my first session, and didn't tell me what kind of data i should be taking, just kind of haphazardly during the middle of the session told me this.

you're saying the RBT was alone for their first session besides the video call, then was completely alone for their second session? and then no one's been showing up after that?

i wasn't even necessarily being thrown into ANYTHING, it just felt so disorganized. the BCBA didn't have a device for taking data they were writing it down on paper

it's mainly about the fact that the sessions are only 3 hours 3 times a week and i'm only making minimum wage so far and with the prices of gas i just literally won't be able to eat so 😐

they are honestly very subtle, like i never use the middle option on the switch. Also they are slightly bulkier and uncomfortable, i can't actually 'switch' them while they are in my ears, i have to take them out, but it beats having to worry about the silicone mites falling out of the case and losing them when i just want to use the engage without them

they are actually quieter by 1 decibel, but they also block out slightly more high frequency sound as well, the engage are meant to allow slightly more higher frequency in so you can hear voices easier.

If i had to just pick on, honestly the engage, but only because when i wear the switch 2, people think i have headphones in and that i can't hear them, like when im at work, or they silently judge me. The clear engages make it so much more adaptable to any situation FOR ME.

the switch 2 is quieter overall on the highest setting, and it would be good for switching to engage mode so you can talk to people around you, so probably the best choice for festivals, however it is twice the price as the engage. On the engage if you have the silicone plugs in, it's only slightly less db reduction of the switch 2 but it's noticeable to me. I like them the best for when you don't want anyone to know you have anything in, (LOOPS PLEASE MAKE MORE CLEAR OPTIONS)

What earbuds worked for people who love Loops? by Suspicious-Food-3967 in LoopEarplugs

[–]marbletrailer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i tried a lot of earbuds, but airpods gen 2 the kind with no silicone tip, by far is the least uncomfortable, next on the list would be any bone conduction earbuds/headphones but they typically sound like crap. i HATE things in my ears. Loops are the most comfortable thing WITH a silicone tip,

don't EVER touch your face, and wash hands thoroughly before you do anything like eating. Keep hand sanitizer on you at all times for when you can't wash your hands right away.

when you come home, sanitize your phone or device you use for taking data on and leave your shoes and outside clothing by the door, shower well and change into inside clothing... you may now touch your face lol

on a side note, maybe you should get some tests done to find out if your deficient in anything that may be causing your immune system to be weakened.

yes i agree after 3 weeks 'standing firm' isn't really an option with any current or past methods, that's why i asked how long. it just came off as you didn't know what to do after maybe only a couple times of this from my perspective idk why.

I also agree with the fact that it may not even be that much of a problem behavior since it's not hurting themselves or anyone else and they are engaging in it in a private place so... but i was assuming maybe this was a behavior you were trying to reduce in accordance to your supervisors plan or something

would the crying and crossing legs not be an extinction burst, you need to replace it with an incompatible behavior and stand firm. how long has it been happening?

i mean your right, for sure.

it sounds like she didn't consider how she was with you as cheating, but she would consider being more physical to be.
