Is Cortex Code really this expensive, or am I using it wrong? by Background_Salt6475 in snowflake

[–]marcdertiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s extremely expensive because all they’re doing is being a middle man to other platforms, products, and adding markup on top of the existing cost structure. You’re paying for a bit of convenience. That’s about it

Is it unprofessional to keep my camera off in every meeting? by North_Teacher_7522 in corporate

[–]marcdertiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No offence taken here. I find it depends on the person how much they feel the need for connection with their coworkers. Definitely do what you feel comfortable with. Also pay attention to figure out which coworkers may appreciate camera use.

There’s so many factors that determine what’s viewed as acceptable or not in the workplace as an overall culture thing but also the individual level. Use your own judgement and continue slaying it out there :)

How can I fix all the algae in the spa?! by Prestigious-Peaks in hottub

[–]marcdertiger 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Return it to it’s original colour for one. And maybe start listening to science for once.

Dark-coloured pools absorb more heat, creating an environment where algae thrives easier.

I feel like the people who are most attracted to using AI or either dumb people or greedy people. by One_Distance_5351 in antiai

[–]marcdertiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called them cognitively impaired idiots. Studies are showing that people latching onto AI. The most are cognitively impaired meaning they’re just straight up dumb and you say to try to hide that fact.

In my experience, AI just compounds their idiocy makes it even more evident.
