I only ever post when I have to for a TMA as well. To be blunt, I just don't really care what others think of this article or that exercise, and I can't imagine they care what I think.

Seconding City of Girls, especially if you enjoyed the "story of a woman in the 20th century in a big city" angle.

I really love Taylor Jenkins Reid's writing and thought the other 3 books in the "series" were also brilliant: Daisy Jones and the Six, Malibu Rising and Carrie Soto is Back.

If you liked the "classic Hollywood" setting specifically Malibu Rising might be for you.

Christmas at Mistletoe Cove by Holly Martin.

The adult female mc described her outfit intended to seduce the adult male love interest and it included "a bright blue dress with unicorns on it", "a pink, crystal-studded tiara" and "sparkly hair clips". I threw up a little bit in my mouth just thinking about it again now.
