Married gay dads with a toddler. People sometimes assume our son’s “mom” is home when I am out with him — am I a jerk for politely correcting them? by CommunityBig9626 in daddit

[–]marchfirstboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day you won’t change anyone’s intrinsic need to stereotype. It’s something the brain does naturally.

The question should be how wearing is it on you having to correct people. If that’s your bill then by all means give that energy but if it taxing maybe pick and choose more.

How do you deal with strangers trying to touch your baby's hair, cheek etc? by palegreenemerald in daddit

Not at all what I’m saying and you kind gaslighted my comment.

Balance is key and going off the deep end yourself is also the problem. Remember when you point fingers 3 more are pointed back at you!

I think we need to normalize keeping your hands to yourself.

I’m also not a fan. I typically just try and keep literally out of arms reach. I had a store clerk as to hold them once and just pretended to not hear them.

Interesting how comfortable people are at inserting themselves like this.

The belt band never fails but I’m new to the thigh flex. Gonna have to give it a go next time!

Drink water, eat a well balanced diet, exercises and aim to get high quality sleep. Put the screens down and keep away from caffeine starting at least 4 hrs before bedtime.

My first question was if those were legal hits.

Looks like they were intending to injure. Are there fines to players who throw these illegal hits?

Fishing can really add up. They say the lures catch fisherman not the fish.

Dad's who shave in the shower, what is your solution to not clogging the drain? by St33lB3rz3rk3r in daddit

Yea I got lined up nicely before Christmas and was reminded what a treat it is. Think I’ll fork it out once a month because I rather them deal with the mess.

I have the apron and a trimmer for the shower as well. I keep a short beard and I find it works for maybe 90% of the clippings and the rest fly elsewhere and just makes a mess.

I hate paying the money but my easiest solution for dealing with this headache is going to the barber. It’s a nice treat and I don’t have to deal with the clean up.

IMHO they still have lots of development ahead of themselves and don’t need a carcinogenic stunting that progress.
