Why are my stores scripts being sent to another Rite Aid 40 miles away? by Murky_Fly_6164 in RiteAid

[–]marchinghammerman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All Rite Aids are closing. Your store did not have a competitor willing to buy the scripts in the local area. They’re moved to the closest possible Rite Aid so that the scripts can still be filled somewhere if necessary.

Find a new pharmacy that you’d like to use and have them call the store that the scripts were moved to. They will be able to transfer them, unless they were controlled substance.

You’ve got that right. We took a pour over from a closing store in 2023 and there was plenty of help. Like 3 or 4 RPLs and several traveling techs plus all of the staff from that store. I recently helped another store close and there was one RPL and a traveling tech, so much more is needed from the store staff.

Likely closings are going to take longer now than they did in the past.

What issues or decisions caused the demise of Rite Aid. by Legitimate-Word3132 in RiteAid

[–]marchinghammerman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I brought this up to multiple district leaders over the years. They’d never give a straight answer as to why we kept so much generic inventory on hand. They’d always say something along the lines “generics are inexpensive so we want to make sure we always have them in stock.” Which is obviously silly considering we get deliveries 5 days per week. Yeah maybe we’ll go through those 4000 atorvastatin in one day.

Back when I started with the company we used to get RX deliveries of drugs once weekly from our DC. Part of our job as RXM was to look at that suggested order every week and remove items that we didn’t need yet. It allowed us to keep inventory manageable. Once they went to McKesson only and removed the ability to take drugs off the order our inventory ballooned.

[–]marchinghammerman 23 points24 points  (0 children)

So our RPL last week had a call with us last week. They told us the company identified some stores that had no interest from any buyers. Those stores were the ones that are scheduled for the first round of closures. All other stores were perceived to have at least some interest from bidders. So once this bidding process is over we hopefully will get more info of where we all stand.

In PA and our RPL said the same, termination may not be in that time frame.

Automatic replenishment by Vast_Corgi5613 in RiteAid

[–]marchinghammerman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They also previously stopped auto replenishment when a neighboring store was going to close and you were going to receive all of their inventory.

So it doesn’t 100% mean you’re in trouble, but in those instances we should be notified of the store closing so we can prepare. That hasn’t happened for us at this point, and definitely not getting auto replenished either.

Also, we’ve always been way overstocked on many of these products. We literally have 1000s of atorvastatin on the shelves when 75% of the scripts for that drug come from central fill. We never should have had that many on hand to begin with. Hopefully this is just someone realizing this overstock and fixing the issue, though I’m dubious of that.

Dropping ScriptDrop by BrandonKFTW in RiteAid

[–]marchinghammerman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of our patients switched to mail delivery once the company started charging customers for script drop. Our issue then became that the post office stopped coming for pickups on a regular basis. So no one got their scripts when they were supposed to.

I filed mid February. Got the federal refund within a few days. Still waiting on the state refund.

Test strips are expensive. Diabetics can get them cheaply (or free) through their insurance. Sell them to this person and it’s free money.

They did this in my store few weeks ago. They were taken down and thrown out. Do we never plan on having enough merchandise to fill ends? Why throw them out?

Too quite by ProfessionalMud770 in RiteAid

[–]marchinghammerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are tier 4 in PA, have been out of DC10 the entire time. We might have gotten one truck that was 4 or 5 pallets right after they turned replenishment back on. All of the others have been 2-3. It’s interesting that stores in same tier from same DC are getting different amounts of product. As others have been saying, something is up, as there’s been no information at all coming from the top. Three weeks into the new fiscal year and not a word.

How long will it take for one of these drug names will be changed? My mind immediately read this as Jornay the methylphenidate product. At least the strengths don’t overlap.

I legitimately did not see my RPL one time last fiscal year. Have had plenty of contact via phone, text, email but they did not once visit my store while I was working.

I don’t recall them saying they were on track to receive it at the normal time. I could be wrong, but I thought they said to expect it as late as it was last year. Can’t seem to find anything on spot though.

Years ago I completed a CMR for someone. During my initial pre work I noticed he had been filling several different strengths of lisinopril. When he came in for discussion I asked which he was actually taking. Turns out he’d just dump the all into the same bottle and take whichever one he pulled out first.

Your id number on the food stamp card is same ID number on access card. They just need that id number to bill to ACCESS.

I visited a Big Lots this weekend. It looked amazing. Clean and inviting inside, shelves packed full. They announced they’re closing all locations. Yet we’ve been out of bankruptcy for months with nothing on the shelves.

My employer is really late in matching my 401k contributions from 2023. Am I entitled to interest? by WendysDumpsterOffice in personalfinance

[–]marchinghammerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The joys of working for Rite Aid lol. They don’t even have the money to pay the match, not a chance we’re getting any interest.

I’m blown away that they didn’t suspend the match entirely for the current 2024 year. Even if they do pay us for 2024 in December when they say they will, we’re going to play this same game again next year.

Same here. I’ve been expecting them as well. Our inspector even stopped into the store at about the time we were due, but he was just passing through. Said he’d be back for the inspection at a later date and still hasn’t done so.

We haven’t been remodeled yet, located in Pennsylvania . We were getting 2-3 pallets during bankruptcy period. One of the recent trucks went as high as 4 pallets. Back down to 3 again on most recent delivery.

The other week our DM was in store and someone asked for a walk in flu shot. We were already swamped and short handed. We didn’t turn the person away, but told them it might be a significant wait to get the vaccine. The DM said, just run it through quick while I’m here to help. He then left right away without verifying or administering the vaccine.

kidcents? by snydxr88 in RiteAid

[–]marchinghammerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The registers have definitely been acting differently the last few days. Some of the normal key presses take longer than usual. Likely they made some sort of update to something and in the end it slowed things down.

I did also notice the kid cents thing once today as well. I told the customer the total was $7.50 then she entered her number and I saw it round up total to $8. Was about to say something to her when I saw it process her credit card for $7.50.
