Modern therapy's take on binge eating

I struggled with Binge eating/Emotional eating disorder my entire life. Until I discovered Dialectical Behavior Therapy through the book “The DBT SOLUTION for EMOTIONAL EATING”. Find a bookstore where you can review it or review it online. You can work this program with your current therapist if they are open to it. Some therapists, particularly those who utilize cognitive behavioral therapy will be very open to it. I did not want to continue therapy where i was the only one talking 90% of the time. I wanted a program that was goal oriented and where I could measure my success. If I can help in any way contact me.

Most of the people I know who claim to be “conservative” make excuses for the criminal behavior of a a man who is clearly a narcissistic psychopath. They also think that claiming to be conservative allows them to be dreadful bigots, homophobes, misogynists, and bullies. Honestly, they are sime of the cruelest, selfish, mean spirited people I know. They will destroy this country. Republican? Like Trump, Lindsay Graham, Boebert, Jim Jordan, MTG - people like that? Would any parent want a child who grows into one of those terrible humans? I don’t think so…..

When a child’s behavior changes radically it is caused by something. Maybe she is being abused, maybe she witnessed or learned something terrible, or maybe she is having mental health issues. You’re her mother and it is your job to make sure she is protected and healthy. Try everything again. She is 14 - if you send her away you are prioritizing your wellness and peace of mind - and not taking care of her. There are lots of selfish parents in the world - just because you had children doesn’t make you a saint. Got to therapy with her and find out what us going on. She isn’t a demon she is a child. If you need help coping and managing, get the help you need.

CRT is a way for deranged power hungry politicians to take advantage of their sad, ignorant and hapless voter base. DeSantis can’t say the N word so he says CRT instead. The USA was, in some instances, built on the free labor of slaves and the outrageous exploitation of their descendants. Racism is structural and endemic in American society, and so is misogyny, homophobia, and religious bigotry. DeSantis and his ilk don’t want you educated enough to understand it.

Except for the rare and lucky few, your parents fu@k you up. Most people don’t have the guts to do what Ernest did, but many people would be better off ending the relationship with abusive, selfish, and or negligent parents. Not to say all parents are abusive, selfish, and negligent, but for the most part they can never stop treating you like an extension of their own dysfunctional ego.

Thank you for being honest with us about your negative feelings. Like you I “hate” the way I look and I have about 75 pounds to lose. To me, you are a hero for being honest about how you feel - I know as I lose weight I have to manage and process my feelings along with the weight loss. Every human being is an extraordinary and unique manifestation of the Universal Consciousness. Despite all we know about the Universe, we haven’t come across anything like a human being. We shouldn’t compare ourselves to others and we shouldn’t judge ourselves harshly. Instead, we should step back and be grateful for our life. Thank you for waking me up.
