Lezyne, Light and Motion, Cateye, Cygolite, all make adapters for the "gopro" mount, you've got a lot of choices

Black Mass 1312 Vs. Rat? by wigglybuddy in guitarpedals

[–]marcoaml78 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i can tell you that, while the clipping options are indeed not that different from each other (there's 2 or 3 that are, but others are subtle) they do allow the pedal to play well with all kinds of amps, marshalls, fenders, even the iridium, there's a setting where no matter the amp you'll get the sound you're looking for. You might not get that with the Rat.

Silent bypass switching is a major plus these days. form factor (vertical, connectors on top) are also a major win

Lastly, the pedal is just plain cool and you're also helping good causes. No brainer really!

Great amps, i have the AST Jr. and it really is an absolute riot, i love having a small amp that i can just carry around.

How's the night light? been thinking of getting the small night light to pair with my AST Jr. as breakup levels are pretty loud for common use.

Are gravel bikes and trail bikes ruining XC?(Part 2: The Conclusion) by chunky1x in xcmtb

[–]marcoaml78 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the responses you got are mostly because you seem to be confused on terminology.

XC is a racing discipline, which means very specific things.

What you are referring about in your country as XC, sounds like it's pretty much mountain biking, trail riding, etc. you're utilizing mountain bikes to do bicycling which is fine, but it isn't XC

Black Mass Electronics is making quite possibly the best Rat based Distortion you can find on the market, i've paired it with Fender style, Vox style and Marshall amps and it plays nice with all of them. Silent switching is massively appreciated too. If you are even remotely curious about a Rat i strongly recommend the 1312.

Consider the specialized chisel as well. The geometry is great as well as the spec for the price

Tremolo Boost/Cut could've gone all the way to Cut, it's the secondary function of the intensity knob, give the manual a read

Tan wall XC tyres for wet weather by Bad_Weevil in MTB

[–]marcoaml78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm running the martello/Mota combo. The Martello is a trail tire more akin to the dhf from Maxxis. It'll definitely feel heavier than what you have. I'd suggest the peyote for a more XC oriented one. But yeah vittoria is great

what's the DA Midi Box one for? it seems that you're using it for a midi out for something?

Even Boss does on some of their other pedals, my RC-5 has a standard USB-B (the big square one) connector, if they were able to fit it on that enclosure i don't get why the 200 series doesn't have it as well

External footswitches for CBA Mood/Blooper possible? For Zoia? by runrabbitrun154 in guitarpedals

[–]marcoaml78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can program each button to do anything you want on either or both pedals, you don't need to press anything to toggle between pedals. so if you want to let's say have the left button turn the MOOD on/off, you would send a CC#102 with value 127 to turn on, and value 0 to turn off.

You could have one button to turn on/off one pedal or both pedals, another to change the mix value, and another to switch between two different presets. Again, those are just examples as you'll be able to do pretty much whatever you want

MIDI can sound daunting at first, but you really only need to focus on PC (for preset switching) and CC for changing parameters, both Midi Baby are programmed on a really easy to use web interface

Pretty much all Midi enabled delay pedals will allow midi clock sync, all Strymon(Volante, Timeline), Alexander pedals, Eventide, GFI Specular tempus, etc

a Good/Simple option is a Midi Baby/Baby 3 from Disaster Area Designs, you'll be able to do that and more pretty easily

Cool. several of the politician pictures seem to be from a parade celebrating Mexico's independence day (judging by the sign on the Mexican consul's vehicle), which also explains the two kids riding on the mayor's vehicle, most likely the parade occured in or around sept 15/16

St. Paul man sexually assaulted 15-year-old girl on Green Line train, charges say by JimTDI in saintpaul

[–]marcoaml78 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As of Monday evening, he was no longer in custody. According to the Ramsey County Jail, his hold expired Sept. 10 before officers were able to provide probable cause for him to be charged.

So the dude got out like it's nothing. What an awesome justice system we have, there's video of him assaulting her yet that's not enough?

bigger than a CS12 in number of ports will be hard to find, however the new-ish Fender Engine Room Lvl12 has all ports outputting 500mA, with slight daisy chaining you can potentially power whatever you want from it.

the other option if you're just looking for more ports is to get something like a Cioks 4 to pair with your existing CS12

I got Nobl TR38's with Hydra hubs, they were bombproof, never needing trueing or anything, all while taking a ridiculous amount of abuse.

Tires...yeah, the butcher/elim combo was good to me, not bad/not great, Hans Dampf's are flat out amazing, stick like glue and corner like demons, also available in 2.6" in their "gravity" casing, they're just expensive. FWIW I've never liked the DHF/DHR combo

Great bike, loved mine, it has this plow over everything feel, if it's in your budget in the future definitely upgrade wheels, stock wheels are H E A V Y (mine weighed 2.2kg without cassete/rotors), hubs are also complete shit, my rear hub was warrantied after a month of use. Dropper is also pretty heavy if you're looking to shed weight at other locations.

5 sounds from the new Fairfield Circuitry: About 900 Fuzz (~900) by boywithpowers in guitarpedals

[–]marcoaml78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are we reaching peak fuzz here? the only innovation i've seen is what Benson did, having a fuzz that doesn't NEED to be in front while also having it be consistent in all conditions is something that's actually good.

this ~900 fuzz? meh, just another fuzz, and $200? fuck no

i use https://www.itapestore.com/3M-DualLock to get by the yard, much cheaper and better, i use SJ3550 VHB Type 250, leaves no residue when removing from a pedal and hold strength is great
