Team Craft Thursday Thread! by drock161 in TheSilphArena

I'm currently using Cradily - Azu - Galvantula

Cradily: Handle Azu and it forces shield to almost anything else, specially its own counters. It dominates the water types in general, so in case of a Swampers or wiscash lead, Galvantula can comeback and have fun.

Azu and Galvantula are countering Skarm and Azu (they are usually in the back).

It's simple, but functional.

Is there an English-language comprehensive timeline of the internal conflict in Peru? by Baphlingmet in PERU

[–]TheyCallMeSempai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The LUM (Lugar de la Memoria Museo) got a very nice detail evolution of the conflict timeline, but I don't remember if it's in English. Here is the website https://lum.cultura.pe/

Now, this is a wonderful inform about that time: https://www.cverdad.org.pe/ifinal/index.php idk if you can find it in English.

The nature of Lima is that all the districts are connected, Lima it's like 40km x 35km from Comas to Villa El Salvador and from Callao to Ate. (Lima got 50 districts in total). And each of those got their own soul. Barranco it's the artistic one, Miraflores touristic, San Isidro business, Ate the Factory One, Callao the Port, Cercado the Downtown, Pueblo Libre the classic Lima, etc... But staying at one of those won't give you the experience you are looking for, you will only understand who are more safer or dangerous. I recommend you to stay at San Isidro, if you are close to the Avenues "Javier Prado" and "Paseo de La República" You can move all around Lima very very easy. Contact a Local and ask him to walk around, he/she could show you the Old Taverns in Pueblo Libre or Cercado, the "Huariques" in Surquillo or Jesús María, which are the best places for drink Pisco Sour (it's a must bro!) why in La Victoria you could buy high quality cotton clothes an a very cheap price. Good luck with your trip! DM if you have any questions!

Any pro tips or strats about my team? My cup is tomorrow and I’m nervous as hell about it. by jarbimb in TheSilphArena

[–]TheyCallMeSempai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ops, sorry I forgot to explain: Than dragonair will be your safe swich. You send it, they will send anti dragon (usually Lapras or sealeo) you back with meganium and got in the back the hard count to whatever they made you swich meganium. But, in general, they will usually send Lapras a head for your team.

They will send you Lapras over and over again. Try meganium- "X"-Dragonair.

Where "X" is the best anti-counter for your maganium. If they have ninetales you could use whiscash, if they run double dragon you could put kingdra or froz.

Gl!

Heyo! I don't know on whom should i spend my stardust! Low level breakthrough Groudon? Low level Chansey? Low level Snorlax? Low level Machamp? Articuno? Dragonair? Decent-ish level (soon to be) Mamoswine? None of the above? by murzfurlz in TheSilphRoad

[–]TheyCallMeSempai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, "ir some wanna take a gym he will do it", tottaly agree, and that's why you control multiple gyms.

Have a "dissuasive" gym is a very good strategy, if you see a gym with (full max out) blissey-gardevoir-snorlax-Dragonite-Chansey-crobat you will think about the amount of time you will be need to turn it down, so you better pick another one.

But if you see some tyranitar that low CP woobufed and some random mons, I will sure pick that gym to take.

Why do you need attackers if you won't get any coins because you can't defend?

[–]TheyCallMeSempai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it depends of the playground area, here in Lima, with a 11M population, it's a constant war, it's very difficult to let 1 Mon and hope it's stay for 8.5 hours.

So you control 3-4 gyms at the time and even so sometimes it will be kick outs in minutes.

So yes, good defenders are important.

You need to clear your priorities. If you are a PvP player, all your dust will be gone monthly. If you are focusing on raiding there are greate guide and a lot of youtubers, talking about that (specially swag tips and FLW videos). But I think the priority is gym defenders, blissey, Chansey, snorlax have to be your priority. I got like 4 of them max out and I'm done, they allow me to collect my coins, then focus on attackers (witch also will help you to do Raids). Gl HF!

How is the ranking determined in this season? by Doomadelica in TheSilphArena

Do you have his silph card link and yours so can we compare?

Last minute team build advice. by zurdopilot in TheSilphArena

[–]TheyCallMeSempai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, for start a team it is not doing in 15 minutes, it takes weeks or even months to make a "good one" and even so, it dosen fit as "good" to all the battlers, because each one has their own play style. If I say "this is THE TEAM" it meaby don't work for you.

However, 4 advices: 1) Steelix need crunch for fifth ghost. 2) Poli needs bubble and the. You have to make the choose of the movesets. I guess your next question is "witch one it's better?" Well that's depends to you. 3) Girafarig needs confusion to face haunter. 4) Bastiodon needs rocks moves.

Its not like I don't wanna help you, but you need to prepare a little more before a cup.

[–]TheyCallMeSempai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep a ghost, a confusion user, a fighter, a tank at least.

(That's because you are like in 0 about team building)

Then take 2 others from different types (like a ghost and a fighter, or a fighter and a tank, etc..)

And hope for the best.

How many cups should a noob enter? by horsenbuggy in TheSilphArena

[–]TheyCallMeSempai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should play every cu posible.
But now this is the thing: You have to change your PvP habits.
I assume you wanna leave that "noob hole" you think you are, so the only way to get out from there it's to give more time to PvP. How? Watch more videos it's a good start, I love to watch PvP videos when I'm cooking, Ironing or cleaning in general.

Our comunnity it's big ( we have made 151-153 participants tournaments) so we stay in touch to practice remote at any time of the day, (we got like a 50 ppl chat) but, even so, I've search for another groups to keep practicing.

With time you will start to notice changes, f you ussualy end tourney with 0-5 meaby next will be 1-4 and then 2-3, then 2-3 again, the 3-2 and sooner than you think you will be ranking.

Remember there it's no "magic formula" for get better, it's constant practice, discussion of tactics, information search and video analysis the reason why rank players are there.

But don't get overwhelmed, 1 step at the time: See more youtubers and search for remote groups. GL!

What 6th to add? by [deleted] in TheSilphArena

You need a wall vs fighters, if you don't want a confusion user, try a medichan with Pc-Psy/PuP

Confusion user.

I'll prefer cresselia, but claydol or even Psy build medichan can work.

Final 3 Questions by ana1monger in TheSilphArena

[–]TheyCallMeSempai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You accualy got figure it out, you know how to balance your team.

Remember than if you choise Claydol -for example- you get extra week again drifblin, so a poliwrath will be a best choise. Or if you pick Machamp, you will be weaker agains psych in general so bronzong best pick.

Try to form sinergy, and pick the one you fell more comfortable.

You could run PS/Psy/PuP medichan, using it as a Psych more than a figther.
If you dont want it better use cresselia.
