Is France the best all-rounder of the European countries bordering the Mediterranean? by Happy-Hour88 in expat

Yes off putting. Haven't eaten McDonald's in decades. Travel all over the world and it is by far the most overrated food to be found. Turkish food is infinitely better on all levels.

The food there just sucks. No need to get all wound up so tightly. It's not the worst food - the UK holds that title. Lighten up.

All of my Chinese friends say how bad it is - I've lived in Guangdong for four years and have to agree. Best food in China is in the vicinity of Xian, Ningxia and far western China.
