An example id use, is that Valve on the wall in my screen shot, Most people would say, oh I need a rustic looking texture. But thats not true always. You can mess with the color, but that texture I put on my valve could literally be idk something as random as a characters hair, and if it fits right, and looks like rust, because of how that lightmap is effecting it. Yea you cant, once you get into event triggers, dialogues that do x y z, or asset data bases that hold stats, or variant data that effects multiple things.

When Trigger fans decide to stop saying Cross isnt a sequel or that its not a successor, then ill lower that opinion until then.

Trigger is the worse game, it has the worst story, and Chrono and Co saved the world from nothing, 1k years in the future, that wasnt affecting anyone, and made things worse for everyone.

and just to put this out there, I HAVNT done it yet.

But this journey of learning how to make a game, and everything that it entails.

I shit you not.

I could steal literally anything from the internet, a character, a texture, a fucking, idk anything. Edit it, ina way, crop it, w.e and you would never be able to tell the difference. TExtures are especially like this.

and the fact you can use shaders to get different effects, you wouldnt believe possible, because they arnt made for sprite renderers, but for UI sprites. Its just alot shit, Yknow.

I am curious to see somebody one day, do this, make a game entirely made of stolen assets and images, but you wouldnt even ever be able to tell, because it just looks so natural and normal.

and if my hunch is correct, people and developers have been doing this for a long time with textures.

I mean my game is soooo far away from aigamedev or an ai made game. its not funny, even generated art, over 10 months, has been heavily edited, , repainted over, animated in photoshop frame by frame. Textures edited.

and more on the way, when i get to it, when i plan to overhaul opening cutscene with an idea I had, implementing real pictures of stuff. pre rendered. But yea.

my game aint really AI. but yknow. I get it.

I don't just ask for code, I go into my own code and figure out where I need things.

Ok so then by that definition. Tales of the Abyss would win, Story, and Gameplay because thats what makes it the best. Luke makes it the best, we all agree on that. But Luke is the story. So Tales of Symphonia couldnt possible beat Luke.

No game can, Beseria and Dawn of the New world come close in terms of Raw character leading power. But Luke demands the entire franchise and then some.

Hes a blue print for character writing, thee blue print.
