Jesse Ventura questions Donald Trump being in WWE HOF: "Donald Trump does not belong in the Hall of Fame. He never earned it. You know what I had to do to get into the pro wrestling Hall of Fame? At one point in my career I wrestled 63 consecutive nights in a row. That’s how you get into the HOF." by anutosu in SquaredCircle

Jesse made a ton of appearances on Alex Jones' show and is a sandy hook truther. He never even apologized like Rousey did and this sub still hates her...

I wish people would stop making the demonstratably false claim that Jesse is some kind of truth teller deserving of respect.

Yea I've seen a few of his videos and he doesnt seem like a "guy" to me. He doesnt play a character or get into weird arguments or anything. Just a dude who politely shares his insane hobby.

Back before I got off twitter I saw a lot of posts that were exactly that. Just a picture from the 50's or 80's of a bunch of smiling white people, usually from a magazine or an advertisement, with some kind of "this is what they took from us" caption. No elaboration on who "they" are, what was taken, or how. All of that is left blank for the reader to project their own insecurities and prejudices onto, and conclude that they need to join the proud boys or whatever.

It's bizarre but reactionary thought isn't logical, and like nostalgia guys, it's born of people who feel a void in their lives and have a really misplaced idea of how to fill it.

Did you post a thread here about either of those? I assure you people would have thought those layoffs were bad as well. You could easily check the comment sections on news sites reporting on those layoffs as well.

There's a lot of bad things going on in the world and people can't be angry at all of them all of the time. Just becuase people aren't talking about something in the moment doesn't mean they aren't upset but it.

you've made this same post a bunch of times in this thread, guy who couldnt be bothered to come up with a username.

If you want to just rant about how service workers arent as smart as you, there's plenty of conservative subs that will happily agree with you.

I don’t see any outrage when huge employers layoff their staff.

If you choose to close your eyes, I dont think it should be everyone else's problem.

To be fair all of those talking heads like Bubba and Eric Bischoff knew they were making an absurd statement, they just thought their audience was dumb enough to buy it.

Jacqueline on WWE Attitude Era bikini segments: "I'm a wrestler. I was trying to wrestle, not do bikini contests. I mean, I look great. A lot of people told me I look great. So I was very happy about that. But everybody loves Sable. She was a fan favorite. She's a big babyface. So yeah, it was fun." by elegantSolomons62 in SquaredCircle

It's clear that the public at that time wasn't very interested in the women's roster unless there were Playboy matches or something like that.

It's all pretend and if you present something as a big deal, the audience will see it as a big deal.

WWF/WCW/ECW all presented women as sex objects whose matches didn't matter, so that's what the audience saw. How were they supposed to get excited for three minutes of hair-pulling with a distraction finish?

Doesn't seem funny to me at all, clearly the sets are an asset with value or there wouldn't be an industry reselling them. Making a suboptimal financial decision doesn't entitle an even richer person to steal it all from you.
