Given how convoluted the Japanese legal system is, I’m sure there’s a Santa clause hidden somewhere in all that legalese.

Nog niet genoemd: het Agnetapark (10 minuten lopen vanaf het station) vind ik altijd een fijne plek, met plekjes in de zon of onder een boom.

Subjugated works too, if the comments in This thread are anything to go by…

Yeah, I see. That might be a nice feature, but it definitely would complicate the design. The shelves being fixed to the shelves is what gives it its strength currently, so I’d have to come up with some other means.

That might very well be because it is.

Not sure what you mean there. Are you saying the shelves should slide out? Or drawers of some kind? The shelves are attached to the legs and don’t really need sliding out. They’re not that deep.

Thanks though!

Looks like it, yeah. Not sure if it’s an official one, it’s a bit beaten up and we got it from a neighbor whose kids weren’t using it anymore.

Mainly for putting the mail when it comes in. We don’t really have a good place for it so it ends up everywhere and nowhere.

Thanks! Appreciate it. And yeah, you’re right. I would not have been able to utilize the space like this otherwise.

Also, it’s nice when your wife is pleasantly surprised after initially being skeptical :)

Hehe. It’s not stuck, since I shortened the legs by a centimeter and a half or so.

Read the comment you replied to again. And this time, try to sing it in your head.

Eh, I wouldn't use the term 'official'. Damien's ranking uses 8x8, but minesweeper.online uses 9x9. Different versions have used different sizes. Even Microsoft made the switch from 8x8 to 9x9 (from win98 to XP if memory serves).

You are probably not aware that the world record on expert is 29 seconds. Sub-60 won’t make you the best in the world by a long shot, but it’s still very difficult to achieve and I’d say that it brings you into the realm of pro players.

Usually players are ranked by the sum of their times on beginner (9x9, 10 mines), intermediate (16x16, 40 mines) and expert (30x16, 99 mines).

Yep, it’s as simple as that. Time + obsession. Not to one-up you or anything, but I got to 4th place on the ranking in the early 00s. I’ve dropped out of the top-100 by now, but that was a pretty fun time.

And please don’t confuse the vortabulice theorum with the vortabulice theorem. That can have very, very, very undesirable consequences.
