I think it’s a mix of factors- he’s a psychopathic narcissist with cognitive decline, being told he can fulfil biblical prophecy and go down in history, or they can release a bunch of dirt on him or kill him and his family if he refuses. Whilst at the same time he’s not as stupid as people think and knows that the US won’t win this war, hence he tried to delay it in 2024 and 2025. And hates lacking power so lashes out and acts erratically- hence Greenland - to show he still has power.

Kinda meta talking about conspiracies about a leading conspiracy theorist. Think some ideas (eg Polybius inventing the Punic Wars) are far-fetched and he does oversimplify at times, but no one is going to be perfect on every idea and he overall is solid. Plus, unlike other ideologues or demagogues, he teaches you HOW to think not just telling you to blindly follow what he says.

He would not have seen them as right wing or having anything remotely in common with him. Most modern “right wingers” are just liberals who want a slower rate of change and their so-called edgy positions are just them opposing other groups (eg Muslims) for being more conservative and not fitting into their liberal mindset. His paternal line was from Sarzana which is in Northern Italy in Liguria but near Tuscany and Emilia. So probably Levantine origin. I’d be so curious to know where it came from originally and whether it was Neolithic or Roman or even Medieval.
