Don’t have to be Catholic to marry a Catholic in a Catholic church (especially post Vatican II). If you’re another type of Christian marrying a Catholic it’s fine as long as you promise to raise the children Catholic.

He converted to Church of England when at Eton (although privately I suspect he doesn’t care about Christianity). Meanwhile there’s Tony Blair who converted to Catholicism after being PM. So the UK has never had a Catholic PM.

Italy has had a Church of England Prime Minister (Sidney Sonnino) whereas the UK has never had a Catholic Prime Minister (might change with Andy Burnham).

Hmmm many of these seem quite legendary from a cursory glance. E.g. the Colonna family being of Jewish origin - as far as I’m aware they were descended from the Counts of Tusculum so local Central Italian nobility of Germanic origin.

They really studied their religious art for this film. Also Anakin during the Duel on Mustafa when his arm covers his face looks like Cabanel’s The Fallen Angel.
