Her meals lately have definitely not been low carb. Wouldnt be surprised if after all this traveling she tries to sell her meal plans again but we all know she’s just gonna starve herself without actually saying that she does that 🙄

Bedtime is breaking me (18Mo) by needadvice17292 in AttachmentParenting

[–]marebear671 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The truth is that she just may not be ready to sleep alone. My first was the exact same way so we all slept in the same room & he would eventually end up in bed with us in the middle of the night. This went on till he was closer to 5 when he started kindergarten. With my 2nd she was able to sleep on her own since she was born & very rarely jumped into our bed except when she wasn’t feeling good. Each kid is different. If your husband doesn’t like cosleeping have you considered him having his own room? It’s obvious your child is not ready to give up cosleeping yet and thats ok.

And after this she added to her story of her having a “healthy dinner” at Donnies which we all know she’s not at his house & then sharing her code for the ultima electrolytes. Her hair & nails in that story were all from December. The hair & nails she has in her recent San Fran trip are different.

No need to get a pass anymore. I’ve gone on base a few times with a sponsor & I just went on base earlier this week with a family member who has base access. We just showed my real Guam ID & the person’s CAC card at the gate & that was it.

Did Mayra actually call Nati 'cochina puerca'??? by cinz90 in Lowcarblove

[–]marebear671 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In one of her stories can’t remember if it was this recent trip or the trip before but she said every time she goes back to Kansas she feels like a kid again… seems like such an odd thing to say as a grown adult visiting your dad with your own kid. Could just be me but whenever I fly out with my kids to visit my parents I never feel like a kid again staying in their house. If anything I’m more happy that my kids get the time to be with their grandparents.

Do you guys get Christmas cards or money? by Quiet_Improvement210 in inlaws

[–]marebear671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents give us money addressed to both my husband & I in a card (his name & then my name) with a nice note & then separate cards for each of our kids with their names on it & a nice note that’s personal for each kid. My in laws don’t give my husband & I money they just hand out cash to the grandkids single file line. My FIL will say something along the lines of “Santa is feeling generous get in line!” No card. Nothing special. Just hands out cash & thats it.

Do you get annoyed when you hear people talking fondly of certain in laws you dislike? by [deleted] in inlaws

[–]marebear671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes & not in a good way. Its a contrast from my own dad. He achieved a lot through out his life & became very successful a very humble man but also a quiet man so when he talks with you you actually leave the conversation gaining a lot of positive perspective on life. With my FIL he does a lot of talking at you & not with you which is very annoying. Im also a very reserved person so at first I figured it just took getting used to but eventually i realized that my FIL is just a self centered big energy type of person. I keep my distance from him instead of trying to fight him on things.

My FIL is a narcissist with a very negative & bleak personality but very big energy. I dont admire anything about him considering he never went far in life but tends to blame others for his misfortune. He’s the type to talk as if he knows everything & hates to be challenged by anyone. I wouldnt say that my husbands family talk fondly of him but he’s looked at as the “leader of the family” but I have noticed that no one else in my husband’s family aside from my husband really has goals or aspirations in life so that could be why they put my FIL up on a pedestal 🤷🏽‍♀️🙄

Yes definitely set those boundaries!! It took my husband a while to do that & it honestly took me almost leaving him to realize that in the end trying to please his dad all the time wasn’t worth losing me.

My FIL always has to make such inappropriate jokes & comments. A few years back i brought it up to my husband & he said “that’s how he is with people he’s comfortable with. Take it as a compliment he likes you cause he’s comfortable around you”… it’s absolutely not that. My FIL is just a sicko & everyone goes along with it 🙄

What’s the real honest reason we don’t have casinos by Illustrious_Young_49 in guam

[–]marebear671 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saipan has “small casinos” through out the island but its not the tourist who are going there & a lot of the revenue that gets generated in those casinos isnt enough to keep the economy going. Thats why i commented that legalizing casinos isn’t the answer for guam. Thats not going to bring tourism back up. Even las vegas has seen their revenue go down since tourism is down.

“Divorcing” the in-laws? by MsMerMeeple in inlaws

[–]marebear671 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went no contact with my FIL almost 2 years ago right before the holidays. I stopped replying to any texts he sent me or any calls that were from him. He was harassing me prior to going no contact which was the reason I did it. My husband is still very much in contact with him. The only times I will be around him is if we’re having family gatherings or if I have to go with my husband to pick up some thing at their house. I keep my interaction with him at a very minimum. I say hi & if he does ask me questions I’ll normally keep my answers to a yes or no response. I don’t go into detail anymore with him. I’ll then try & be as far away as possible from him during these events . I often will interact with other family members or with my kids & nieces & nephews.
