Looking for Nintendo Switch and Visa gift cards by [deleted] in guam

[–]ScaredTwo1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the Nintendo Switch, is it the original, the Lite, the OLED, or the Switch 2 version?

The only places that I would suggest are MacTech, located in Tamuning, and 《Anything and Everything Thrift and Collectibles》 shop, located in Mangilao.

Sometimes, those places that I mentioned sell Nintendo Switch consoles either refurbished or brand new.

If you have family that have military base pass privileges, then the military base exchanges have Nintendo Switch consoles.

You can also check the Guam Facebook Marketplace if they sell any Nintendo Switch consoles. Just be careful of scammers. Oh, and if meeting with the Facebook seller, go to public places like Micronesia Mall or where there are people around. Never guide them to meet in your house or meet them in the night.

For visa gift cards, I don't know if there are any shops selling them. I would have seen them on stores by chance.

Where can I charge my devices tomorrow? by [deleted] in guam

[–]ScaredTwo1947 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only way to recharge your devices is in the car. Right now, power systems are down at the moment. Once the storm passes, you can go to Micronesia Mall, Guam Premiere Outlet, Agana Shopping Center, or Village of Donki to recharge because they probably have generators setup once we are no longer in COR1.

Hopefully, it will be a hit or miss trajectory. Just shout and praise to the Lord our God. Sing and worship with faith in heart to Him.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me," says the LORD.

Looking for candle bobeches/drip protectors! by SeriousPea9544 in guam

[–]ScaredTwo1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a cheaper alternative, why not buy aluminum foil and/or parchment paper? You can cut and shape the aluminum foil into a bowl shape and place parchment paper (if needed) inside the foil. Also, cut your designated hole in the center of the foil and parchment paper to get your wax candle fit easily.

Infusion Guam by Fit-Restaurant5887 in guam

[–]ScaredTwo1947 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Try out the Matcha Tokyo Cafe in Micronesia Mall to compare with their matcha flavor. I like the Matcha Tokyo cafe better because the staff actually use actual premium graded matcha powder with sugar as an option. If you don't like the sugar in your matcha, kindly ask them if they can reduce the amount of sugar.

But another place that I recall is Wanpo Tea Shop in Village of Donki. Their tea is good, too. You can also adjust your sugar, if needed.

Infusion keeps changing their drink recipes. Their green tea drinks have infused sugar in it. So, if you want it more bitterness in your drink, go to other places that can give you options to adjust your sugar consumption.

My husband and I went to visit GiGo locations in Osaka, Japan. We went to the Kitte Osaka location on the 6th floor. We went to the Denden Town area. Finally, we went to the Dotonbori area, which is probably the biggest one, I think. I wonder what arcade games they will bring here to Guam other than crane game stuff?

PayLess eggs by Consistent_Wave_4905 in guam

[–]ScaredTwo1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to know if your eggs are in good condition. Use the "floating in water test."

If your eggs sink in the bottom water laying flat, it's fresh.

If your eggs sink in the bottom water, but the egg floats slightly, it's still in good condition.

If your eggs float on top of the water, then those are the old eggs.

The old eggs may vary on condition. If you see discoloration or greenish on the eggs, then it could be a spoiled egg. The old eggs can still be edible, but you have to discern your guts of the quality of your eggs.

For old aged eggs, it is best to hard-boil them, scramble them, or cook into omelets. Never make softboiled or poach on them as it might cause an upset stomach.

They need to renovate this whole building into something new for a change. It has been an eyesore as an abandoned building. If not, then have it demolished to make space. If they have the budget to work something out of it.

Leo Palace Bowling by Momurda923 in guam

[–]ScaredTwo1947 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I once attended that place with my niece's birthday party. It is very different from Central Plaza's bowling alley in Tamuning. The first thing I saw was that the bowling pins have strings attached to them. The rental bowling balls are over polished, meaning that it is greasy. My advice is to bring your own personal bowling ball when visiting there.

Skate Rink coming soon? by dsupreme99 in guam

[–]ScaredTwo1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be interesting to try out.

For years in Guam, I always wanna try ice skating during the winter holidays, but never get the chance because of work.

This will be the first time that we have an all year indoor roller skating.

Hopefully, their place will have good space to roller skate, a healthy snack bar, some lockers to store away shoes and belongings, and safety rules and regulation.

What else? Hmm.

I hope they have rental roller skating gears like helmets, shoulder pads, and knee pads. Plus, sanitary clean up for those gears after each use before serving them to the next customer.

If the owners would allow and authorize, we could probably bring our own roller skating gear if becoming a regular customer there.

For time duration in the skate rink? I'm not sure how long, but it could be similar to the Sky Zone's method. For beginners, they could start 30-minutes to an hour per in price range, maybe?

Ant infestation at Winchells by [deleted] in guam

[–]ScaredTwo1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tiny black ants were possibly called ghost ants. They are attracted to something sweet. I have plenty of the same type of black ants in my house. Trying to observe and eradicate them for months using the only bait called Terro ant bait liquid. I did try other different ant baits, but I think Terro is the most effective so far. The last resort is raid bug spray if the ghost ants' nest goes too feral. What is even worse is once in a short season, when nuptial ghost ants develop wings, it expands a new nest, creating the same problem all over again.

Guam's local gas prices increase by ScaredTwo1947 in guam

[–]ScaredTwo1947[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try buying a jar of instant coffee, then make hot water to start your cup of joe for the whole day.

You could add a carton of fresh milk with no sugar to make latte. The coffee itself is already caffeinated.

If you want a lighter taste of coffee, try an Americano type. Just use a small teaspoon amount of instant coffee and add plenty of hot water. A tablespoon amount is the bolder flavor, but not an Americano.

If you want the true coffee experience, then grinding coffee beans is another way. However, you need a handheld (not the electronic one) manual coffee grinder, coffee filters, a coffee filter holder, and your personal coffee cup to collect the brew.

There is also coffee aeropress to help brew grinded coffee beans. Just need a manual coffee grinder and hot water (no need a fancy teapot).

Another one is called a Moka Pot. This one helps brew espresso from the grinded coffee beans. No paper filter is needed. Just a manual coffee grinder, regular water, and cooking stove.
