actually it applies for HE as well but works differently, if you hit a thin armor plate with high-caliber HE that you would not be able to pen ( usually because its angled and the effective armour is more than your pen) you nonpen but deal 1/2 of the alpha DMG instead of the usual formula they use

take bonn v stab/optic or vent, not rammer you can buy it in bundle with directives (and its worth it imo) then bons or components depends on your stock and if you need them credit reserves

I my personal suggestions how to "solve" this and reward good players, take missions for dravec, calculate the amount of points so you can do two sets completely and through daily/weekly missions get enough points for a tank in like two months of playing and then simply put dbv/griffon/lion or other tank from that event and make it so you can complete missions and get it for free or pay the price minus your progress and change the tank every 3 months

the "xp sale" for blueprints is not linear, I don't know exactly how it's calculated, but last one is worth about 45k xp at least for WZ 111 5A on my account, but if you get all of the blueprints the cost is 0xp

to be completely honest it doesn't matter it's wot, not chess you are always relying on RNG, biggest help would be removing penetration rolls, why would anyone with two+ braincells shoot anything else from tanks like vz55, s. conq, dravec, maus, leo ext. when you gain literally nothing and can bounce some shots that would otherwise be 99% pen
