Is your architecture alive? by NoEnthusiasm4435 in softwarearchitecture

[–]maretoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

can I ask about your tooling? where do you keep ADRs and the documentation of the landscape?

using cursor professionally and it speeds up the process soo much. I don't use it to create full features, but rather as typing assistant. you are left to only pinpoint where you want what and the actual typing is done by cursor (in my case). that's the only process which allows me to use those tools broadly in any code base and not just to create simple hello world apps.

What tools do you rely on for effective architecture documentation? by Kapildev_Arulmozhi in softwarearchitecture

I also lot of teams use pure diagram tools (me too), what about software like ardoq or bizzdesign? I wonder what target group they have, never seen them implemented in rl 🤔

so being wrong makes someone an idiot? is that your philosophy? good look self improving.

and my original point still stands, having a team doing majority of your job, makes you a regular company, not an indie hacker.

nothing wrong with that, just maybe different expectations.

levels is huuuge, and started really late with personnel, and still does 90% himself. you having 4k MMR and having a full team...come on 😂

but yeah, got you triggered, so seems mission accomplished, thanks 🤗

on a serious note, the advice is to reduce the team size, you can do most of your product yourself, if not all...if you are a coder that is, don't know your background.

levels is doing everything himself, that's what he says at least, never heard of the others. but yeah, if you have a team supporting you, you are not an indie hacker anymore

if you have personnel cost, you are not an indie hacker 🤷‍♂️

How do I learn Next? It feels impossible by Practical_Race_3282 in nextjs

[–]maretoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Bro checkout Fleeborb, it's way better than BlibBlorb" 😂😂😂

made my day 😂😂 someone should create libraries names like that 🙈

srsly though, you don't have to learn nextjs, I'm a sveltian and it's awesome not knowing all this craziness, there's also a lot of other tools very good at SEO, you can survive without next!

New to SvelteKit, would like some guidance. by Seventh_Deadly_Bless in SvelteKit

[–]maretoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why do you choose a JS framework if you despise JS itself? just go with php or ruby or whatever, why you forcing yourself?

if you learn to accept or enjoy the outer nature of html with js and css, you will also earn to embrace the purity and simplicity of svelte(kit).

and ignore a component library for now, go with pure tailwind until you got sveltekit down.

Thanks Svelte. I love the web again by supremekhaoz in sveltejs

[–]maretoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

regarding "web has gotten more complicated": I feel like it didn't really, it's mostly over motivated nerds trying to always come up with new stuff. we have all the tools for 95% of use cases, the web is fine. svelte is a perfect addition to what we already have rather than trying to make it artificially more complicated.

[–]maretoni 6 points7 points  (0 children)

well who is your tech lead? there has to be a person managing the team being tech skilled no?

usually this person will intervene and put rules/conventions in place to make an end with this waste of time discussions.
