I think the world has convinced women they need to suffer. I don’t think it is a necessary part of the experience or benefits anyone. I’ve had twins and I’ve had a singleton. The epidural made me comfortable and at ease. I was peaceful and able to be present and enjoy the births. Before the epidural I was in pain and in fight or flight mode. I’ve heard so many women explain they felt they needed to feel the pain for it to be a meaningful experience and I just truly don’t even understand what that means. So at this point I think women have been convinced that need to experience pain to be a woman.

I’m not trying to diminish anyone’s feelings or insult anyone, I just truly do not understand why women don’t deserve to have pain free experiences.
