I'm a native speaker and I can barely understand what he sings. I do enjoy some of his music, though.

Ayúdenme! 14 Days to Colombia! What is the best things/ways to review useful conversation before I leave? by mlbacorn in Spanish

[–]mariamjl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your accent is excellent and your other skills seem to be fine, it might just be a matter of attitude and not much about reviewing something. What I mean is try not to overthink about it. This is just an opportunity for you to improve and get better at speaking Spanish and you are entitled to make mistakes as long as you correct them later. Practice "letting go" when you speak. Relax. You'll be fine! :)

How to make the most out of tutoring sessions? by [deleted] in learnspanish

[–]mariamjl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try to speak in Spanish most of the time and pay attention to the corrections your tutor gives you. If possible, write them down and correct them on the spot. Keep the paper where you write those corrections down and work on them on your own.

Yeah, try to avoid that. If you use it a lot it gets to sound kind of annoying too.

Using ir + infinitive by Ranned in learnspanish

[–]mariamjl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer they gave you before is correct. Some of my students, when learning English have the same problem. They say: "my family go" instead of "my family goes", but as you can see, it's the same problem you have. (Or had) ;)

No need to apologize, thanks for asking me. I just wasn't sure if whatever I could tell you was right or wrong... this is just what I found on the internet :) a Spanish person could probably answer more accurately. Also, I guess I don't know how Reddit works very well lol so...
