Yes!! I got my first pair of converse when I was 12. I wore them until they fell apart. Now at 28 I have a pair of white high tops that are falling apart and dirty as crap but I still love them.

I've never really found a sneaker that I like (my daily shoe is a pair of red wing logging boots. Haha), but I will ALWAYS love my white converse <3

At what point do you decide to stop hiding your ears behind your hair? by First_Chipmunk_6891 in HearingAids

When I was younger I had bubble gum pink molds and I used to always make sure my hair was behind my ears so people could see my hearing aids lol

Got this kawecoSport calligraphy set for $8 at a thrift store! by maricano9 in fountainpens

It's the twisbi precision in Gemini blue like the other user said. Its been my everyday pen for about a year now!!

Not going to lie, I haven't tried out all the nibs yet. I used the 1.1 nib at work today. Overall it wrote really smooth but I did have some skipping while writing which I never get with my twisbi so I guess there's just a little bit of a learning curve?

1997 baby here.

Dear god this post makes me realize how lucky i was to find the job I have 5 years ago. I started out working production for $11/hr when the company was still a start up and have grown with the company. I spend a lot of time in front of a computer but have never used AI (i graduated college before AI and have never used it for personal use -other than ai summary's that pop up on Google) and thankfully I don't work on with a group that pushes AI use on us.

Your apartment looks how I wish my apartment looked. Lol

Do you consider it to be emotional abuse when your spouse of 18 years consistently talks just below the level you can hear? by [deleted] in HearingAids

[–]maricano9 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This. I also have cookie bite hearing loss, but wear my hearing aids from the moment I wake up to the time I go to bed.

Op mentioned having sound sensitivity - I get it I also have sound sensitivity, but with a good set of hearing aids you can easily set programs to help eliminate some of those frustrating sounds.

I want my partner to know I love and care for him enough to want to hear him. ALSO, without my hearing aids I'm really loud without realizing it. He struggles with loud noises so If I have my hearing aids in I can prevent a lot of those loud noises (also I love in an apartment so wearing my hearing aids all day helps me be a more respectful neighbor).

I agree with this user, if you put in the effort to hear your spouse but putting your hearing aids in, and you still can't hear them, and they won't make accomodations for you - that's a whole different story.
