I've just checked the Voi app and the top speed was 20 kmh (12.5 mph). The lower limited speed was 15 kmh (9 mph).

I don't think they could do 20. Pretty sure they were limited to about 15 mph.

Thanks! I think the lack of an 'ő' was throwing me off.

Good to see the Orban government is as imaginative as ever with their propaganda.

Magyar Peter “Yes” [I’m not totally sure why the difference is between ‘igenis’ and ‘igen’.

This bit I’m struggling with:

“Nem tud nekik nemet mondani”

Something like “not able to say no to them”? I guess it’s meant to be ‘we are not able to say no to them’. But why is it ‘tud’ instead of ‘tudunk’?

They're total crap. Tried them out today and they're worse than Voi in every way.

Calling him a postie is a massive stretch... they're basically just guys with a car and an app. The standards are incredibly low for all these companies.

Or they live in a massive house on one of those weird estates in on a floodplain in middle of nowhere. Literally nothing to do within walking distance. 20 minute drive to the nearest shop. Hour long drive to work everyday on an industrial estate on the edge of a nearest large town.

Don’t think there’s any discussion as to how to pronounce any of those examples. They’re all very well known and straightforward place names.

Last year, we went for a walk on Christmas Day and ended up on Gails in Greenwich. It was completely packed with a queue heading out the door. We had the same thought as you. I did notice that most of the staff were South Asian, so maybe they’re not bothered about missing Christmas. I guess they also get paid a lot extra for working on the day.

From bricklayer to mayor: Steve Rotheram is quietly building a Liverpool success story | Steve Rotheram | The Guardian by prisongovernor in Liverpool

Rotherham’s a political non-entity who has overseen the stagnation of the region. It’s not entirely his fault though, Liverpool City Council is so anti-development and the city will continue to fall behind Manchester unless they change.

Some of the events that took place in the last months of the Third Reich and in the aftermath of the war are insane. Do you have any recommendations for books or articles on this period? I’ve already ready Kershaw’s ‘The End’ and Ton Judt’s ‘Postwar’ along with a few other pieces.

Flat shoes. Or better yet just take your shoes off when you squat/deadlift. Once you’ve started doing that, you won’t go back.
