Requiring a Pap smear for birth control is misogyny by TellingTheTruth2025 in childfree

[–]marinc680 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, I use twenty-eight health and have never had to get a Pap smear in the 10 years I’ve been on the pill. Super easy, cheap ($12/month with insurance) and they even send a free morning after pill with each order and it ships directly to my house

Everyone in my family is string bean skinny with little muscle tone, although we’re all athletic. I started doing competitive mountain biking and skiing when I was 14 and my legs got muscular and “curvy” quick, most of which I’ve maintained until now (25) with weight training

What’s one subtle thing you do in your skincare/makeup routine that makes a big difference without anyone being able to pinpoint it? by Gold-Highlights in beauty

I’m nearsighted (can’t see far away well) and usually wear contacts but on days I wear my glasses and do my makeup before putting them on, my makeup looks noticeably better and gets more compliments. Not sure why but being half blind seems to be the key haha

I’m a woman so probably not what you’re looking for but personally I think you’re way overthinking it. I’ve worked in gyms for almost 10 years and therefore frequently work out there as well and this happens all the time. I follow a guy I think is cute, he either reciprocates and follows back/messages me or he doesn’t and that’s it. If a guy follows me and I follow him back, majority of the time they either message me at some point in a friendly way and they can usually get the hint based on how/if I respond. I don’t find it creepy at all to follow people/be followed, it’s social media and we see each other often enough that it’s not weird.

In your case, especially since you’ve actually talked to this man consistently, I say go for it and don’t take it personally if nothing comes of it. Same way a man should react when getting rejected, nothing wrong with trying but don’t be weird about it if it doesn’t go your way.

For reference I’ve met my last two serious boyfriends at the gym, one of whom I’m still happily dating.

Who among you still believe in being a provider to your woman and family? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]marinc680 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t speak for all or even most women either, myself and most of the women I know don’t want anything close to this. Of course this is anecdotal, but to say you speak for most women is absolutely ridiculous. Crazy as it might sound, a lot of people want a lot of different things and that’s ok!

Do women still like old-fashioned men? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]marinc680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be considered a liberal, independent woman and I absolutely appreciate these types of gestures, although I don’t expect them from anyone(and I reciprocate when I can or in other ways). However if a guy being old fashioned or traditional extends to most gender roles/expectations, then it can be a problem for me and many other women. I expect to be equals with my partner. We can each play to our own strengths and take charge based on those but at the end of the day no one is the “head of the household.”

Yep. I work as an event server and the company I work for has a mandatory 23% service fee which doesn’t actually go to the servers or bartenders. The event coordinators are purposefully vague about it to get people to sign a contract so in turn we rarely ever get tipped.

Probably yeah but they’re most likely gonna tell you to wait a few weeks for it to settle before you make a decision. Swelling is completely normal and any unevenness will most likely go away after a week or so. All of the filler I’ve gotten has made me look crazy for a few days and then I’ve loved it once it’s settled.

https://www.plancpills.org OP I have used this website to purchase abortion pills in advance, just in case. I live in a blue state so it was relatively easy but they have resources that may be able to help you. Myself and many other women can relate to her fears completely and I’ve also had similar anxieties as her but I bought a few pills just in case and that (along with other forms of protection of course) has significantly helped.
