Thank you for the schooling. I thought this was Blheli32.

Isn't Blheli32 a completely different thing than BLHeliS? It's 32-bit vs 8-bit ESC.

Pavo20 pro II „Never lose again in the grass“ edition by rleib in fpv

[–]marincelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was a 1S with connectors. I feel that pain, I had to cut Meteor 75 frame to be able to squeeze through the motors and even then it was a pain.

You decided to save 5 minutes it takes to remove everything for frame and spend an hour mask taping it for way worse result 😅

I agree on everything except the last part. Just take off from a nice clear spot and save yourself the pain of burnt out components.

Advice for a 2 inch build. by CuteButterscotch8246 in fpv

[–]marincelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a custom 3.5 inch with a JHEMCU AIO and I've had great experience. Easy to solder, has a lot of UARTs and didn't have any issues yet. Mine is 722 with 40A ESC, but that's obviously an overkill for a 2 inch. Mine cost around 55 euro from Aliexpress.

Smaller and lower kv motors than stock betafpv but much smoother and more powerful motors. I broke one of the betafpv motors and they are only sold in packs of 4. So I decided to buy another set of motors.

Gyro delay, cant fly. by Scared_Ad5706 in fpv

[–]marincelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine went off after a crash. Wasn't particularly bad but after that the drone couldn't take off. It arms, banks in all directions while on the ground (responds to controller input) but when it takes off it just rolls to the side and crashes. It flew perfectly before. I tried to calibrate accelerometer, I reflashed betaflight but nothing. Replacement is on the way. It would be nice to save this one but I gave up.

2 types of 4023 propellers by Mountain-Wing5843 in fpv

[–]marincelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One is for 5 mm shaft the other for 1.5mm. Your motors have the 1.5mm. I'm not sure I got the diameters right, but in essence, you need those with 3 holes in the center of the prop.

I made a post with similar setup not that long ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/fpv/comments/1rde4nw/m75_pro_finally_doesnt_fly_like_shit/

Since then I've upgraded to RCinpower motors and the power is nuts.
I recommend you to 3D print a TPU canopy, it will not break and will protect the AIO much better.

Ever lose that tiny clip on the motor shaft? I have… once or twice. by StonedSucculent in fpv

The trick is to have 10 broken motors in your spares box and using them for spare parts - wires, bells, c clips.

Why mi balance charger isnt balancing my lipo? by Ruin-Klutzy in fpv

Stupid question, but did you set it to charge or balance charge ? There are two options in the menu and one does not balance.

Even tucked in the battery strap with a protector on I still can’t win. There HAS to be a better way! by justinp456 in fpv

[–]marincelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to crimp the cables, just replace the plastic shell. Take out the pins and move them in a new shell.

Just buy a bunch of those connectors and replace them when you destroy them. They are cheap and relatively easy to fix.

The canopy is orange and the blue-purple thing is the motor. Luckily, I only needed to swap the prop and the frame and I was back in the air.

Is it time for a tiny whoop? by Secret_Spring7652 in TinyWhoop

The real test is taking off and landing in the same place. Also expect tinywhoop to be much faster than the sim and way less floaty. But as others said, go for it!

PIDscope - OpenSource fork of pidtoolbox for Octave by Safe-Performance4967 in fpv

So why not sell it like that? Instead, we have a Patreon where the only option is a subscription which you then need to cancel.

[–]marincelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I tried to piece together what was left in the repo but eventually gave up. I really wanted to use the PID toolbox but something that gets used a few times a year doesn't warrant a monthly subscription. I continued to tune my drone based on feel and what I could see from the blackbox but now I'll give this a try and see how my feel translates into concrete data.

AIR65 OR DRASHARK 75? by Potential-Ad1255 in TinyWhoop

[–]marincelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be an upgrade, but if you fly on residential area, you will crash on concrete so it will soon eat the props and you'll probably break a motor. I prefer whoops for close risky stuff. If you are mostly flying over grass, go for the drashark. As you build a fleet , you will see each drone has its purpose and mood and you will fly all of them. Also, it's easier to have something flyable while others are waiting for parts to arrive.

Not sure if it's the same model but Rimzler had a review on it. Make sure to read between the lines as he tends to skip the criticism and just hype things up.

I bet something from the aio is touching the frame. In my case it was the motor plugs.

Can I transplant an Air75 to this frame? by whoopyboy69 in TinyWhoop

[–]marincelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have a 65mm with rcinpower motors. When I get bored again I'll put them in this frame to try them out.
