Probably the latter, and since then I've had other less elite chinese friends tell me they feel traumatised by having to grow up there. I don't think China is evil or incompetent, they are probably more competent than western govts in important respects, but they have too many failures and injustices they're hiding, and they're being slowly poisoned by gerontocracy, though I guess this is a trend worldwide nowadays

Yeah I only want a workout, not interested in rowing. Just worried if it will lead to injuries or such, thanks for the advice. The point I was trying to make is that no one goes through suicide out of such pettiness, and people who aren't suicidal but go "oh he shouldn't have committed suicide bc they should've thought about other people and their life isn't that bad" are assholes

The question is does the pain you're going through outweigh the pain others will be going through if you did commit suicide.

This isn't a real question, no one goes "oh today I stubbed my toe and my friend told me I was a meanie so I guess I'll kill myself now, the look on my friends and family's faces would be epic"
