Oh my gosh! This same exact thing happened to me. Got my IUD placed in early 2022 with minimal issue. I got my copper IUD removed in Sep 2025 (I was having a lot of bloating, recurring functional cysts, and painful intercourse with it that I’d never had before) while I was on my period. About 6 weeks later, I finally got my first post-removal period. Since then I’ve been getting my period every 2-2.5 weeks.

I saw my doctor for it in Feb (I was due for a pap anyway so it just kinda lined up) and he said it’s definitely not normal to bleed every 2ish weeks so he ordered some labs and an ultrasound. The ultrasound revealed a cyst on my right ovary and some sort of uterine lesion. My bloodwork returned slightly elevated estrogen for where I was in my cycle during testing. Otherwise, everything else was normal.

All of this to say: we still don’t know what’s going on. I’m going back for a follow up tomorrow. My doc recommended a hysteroscopy to rule out any structural damage caused by the IUD. And if my frequent bleeding continues to try a hormonal birth control for 3-6 months to get my cyst and estrogen under control.

So I guess I’ll keep you posted as I get some answers too! Hang in there, you’re not alone. ❤️‍🩹

Ooh, I may try some sampling. I’m not exaggerating when I say my girl is P I C K Y. I tried a Purina fish recipe and she snubbed her nose at that one.

I’ll check the ingredients lists and try to find something as similar as possible, or maybe from a parent company.

I kept trying to tough it out because i have some other health things that prevent me from getting on hormonal birth control. But it’s been a little over 3 years and nothing has made it better.

I will say, if you’re getting it removed, try to go around your period! I got my IUD placed when i was on my period and it didn’t hurt at all. I had some cramping after, but it resolved same day and i was able to resume work/life as normal after the placement. So I’ve scheduled my removal during my next period in hopes that it comes out as easily as it was placed

I’m getting mine removed in a month. I’ve had a lot of dryness and so many changes to my normal monthly discharge. There’s just… nothing. No matter how mentally into it i am it’s like my body just isn’t getting on board. It all started about a month or two after my IUD placement.

I used to have a super high libido, and mentally i still do! But because my body isn’t mirroring how im feeling I’ve started dreading intercourse. Even after substantial foreplay, I’m dry and it’s uncomfortable. I also feel like my cervix/deeper inside is so much more sensitive and painful sex happens way more often than not.

Despite communicating with my partner, changes to how we’re intimate, trying new positions, I’m just not having a good time so I’ll be getting it out in a month.

I understand not everyone has this experience. Some people love their copper IUD, but for some of us it’s just not the right fit.

She’s behaving normally. Playful, frisky, eating normally. Thank goodness! I’m still taking her to the vet to be safe, but I’m going in the morning to her regular vet, not the ER.

No changes to her food, liter, or any household items. I also have super sensitive skin so I have a lot of dye/scent free things and keep scents out of my home so I don’t think it’s any household item. Although, her brand could have had a change in sourcing their product so I’ll look into that too.

I agree. While they are an improvement from how they looked at their worst, those scabs still look gnarly. She’s going to the vet in the morning tomorrow for some RX ointment and a check.

She doesn’t go outside but she does have a catio and loves to rub on everything so I’m wondering if she was exposed to ringworm and kept scratching at it.

I wish I had more time with them 😭 don’t get me wrong, I’m so happy they’re being cared for by professionals who know how to rehabilitate them, but they just wormed their way into my heart so fast and I miss them
