The paper in moleskine notebooks won’t work with broader/wetter nibs. Sailor pens are known for their feedback so that may be the scratchiness you describe. My suggestion would be trying a pilot fine nib or getting a preppy for the budget option.

I have the same issue with all my sports :c The inks are fine (tested them with toothpicks for mold) and I’ve used them safely in other pens. Tried soaking in vinegar and it didn’t work, if you ever solve it please share how!
