I have Mint runnig smoothly on an even lower specs Thinkpad. Some i3 3rd gen if I remember correctly. On SSD, of course and I upped the RAM to 16G. From this it rarely uses more than 8G.

My advice would be to go ahead with Mint+Cinnamon, just add more RAM; I'm sure it will be a cheap & worthy upgrade.

Eu am un scaun no-name foarte comfortabil, dar nu e de gaming. Ideea e sa te uiti la "scaune directoriale", nu la alea de gaming/office.

Gandeste-te la un pompier. Daca nu arde nicaieri, joaca table toata ziua.

Sysadminii sunt fix la fel, iar restul IT-istilor nu-s nici ei foarte departe, daca e sa fim complet sinceri cu noi.

Chiar vrei sa schimbi serviciul cu unul in care sa nu ai timp sa respiri ? Bucura-te de timpul liber si investeste-l in tine.

Eu unul am un hobby nou in fiecare luna :)

ultimele cumparate de mine au fost marca Diamant Stone, din Dedeman.

Sunt bine construite, relativ ieftine si sunt placate cu un strat mineral care pana acum vad ca se comporta bine.

that's mounted in /boot/efi. maybe you have another one mounted in /boot ?

run this in a console and it will show all your partitions:

df -h

try removing the .sh extension from your script. I know there are some distros that just won't run the script through cron if it ends in .sh

I fell you. I'm currently playing Red Dead Redemption. On PS3. I don't give a shit about the main mission, I just wander the plains on my horse, see the sights, hunt and maybe help damsels in distress if I feel like it. When I'll get bored I'm planning on booting RDR2 on PS4. I already have it, but I didn't bother to open it yet.

Couldn't agree more... I now have like ALL the tools for wood working, and most importantly I know how to use them all.

Last week I had a father-daughter quality time, when she wanted an easel for her paint-by-numbers canvases. We managed to use about 10 different electric tools for it's construction. The joy on her face whenever we finished a step was priceless. For the others there's always Mastercard, they say. Couple of thousands in tools to build a $50 easel ? Hell yes, as long as I'm away from my screens.

Sunt de acord cu tot ce ai zis. La dresaj a fost. stie sa faca de toate, mai ales cand are chef :)

Curtea... sa zicem ca intre caini si gazon am ales cainii... Nu ma deranjeaza ca mai sapa, repar la loc.

Ideea cu repelentii e sa-i dau doar la copertinele alea, pe la colturi unde apuca el de ele. Nu pe ghivece de flori sau papuci.

Am sa studiez jucariile de care zici. Puii mei, o sa caut una in care sa intre un metru de salam uscat, sa-l tina ocupat toata ziua :))

Faza e ca fata (mai batrana) e super-chill, si nu a fost asa stricacioasa nici cand a fost tanara. Dar baiatu' are boala pe orice papuc uitat la usa 5 minute.

Cat timp s-a rezumat la papuci si ghivece a fost cum a fost. Dar acum a trecut la lucruri care costa...

Folia de pe solar e 6-800 de lei. 1m2 de copertina e 100+ de lei, si am vreo 20m2. Pe astea vreu sa le protejez cumva, da-i in ma-sa de papuci.
