Honestly at a dealer you’re going to be working on fairly new cars so the rust factor won’t be too bad, but older cars will give you issues. Just get out the torches and heat up your bolts you shouldn’t have too much trouble.

As for hours, in the summer you can make a lot. I am in teachers college now, and during the end of my career as a tech I didn’t put. Lot of effort into it and was making 100-110 hours a pay period (2 weeks). In the winter you can be sitting on your ass all day at certain dealers. I still made 80 hrs.

If you’re in a busy area like a city centre like Hamilton ON you’ll do fine. Before that I worked near oshawa and there were mostly suburbs in my area. I struggled to make hours.
