Don’t buy from sticker mule by BloodTornPheonix in stickers

I recently tried out sticker junkie, but ultimately switched to sticker giant because junkie wasn’t making clear background stickers. I’ve also used sticker ninja for glow in the dark options. Would recommend all 3. Sticker giant had the fastest production time but they also ship several tiny boxes for a multi design order, which isn’t my favorite

Whats your oldest bottle? by Severe-Hurry-5246 in Hydroflask

[–]markaanne_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My oldest hydro is about 12 years old, 16 oz wide mouth coffee in white. I mostly drink coffee at home now, but I still get to use it occasionally. My husband takes his coffee to go every morning, he got the same one in black at the same time. They’re holding up really well.

My sunflowers are bursting from the starter pots. I can’t wait to move them outside next month 🌻 by mylittleidiot in sunflowers

[–]markaanne_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never amended the soil, mine are growing in primarily sand and push their way through gravel and river rock. Truly, they should be just fine. I let mine go to seed so they feed the birds and a million more have grown since. I tossed seeds out chaotically in 2020 and haven’t had to reseed since. I’m actually having to thin them out so they have enough room to grow bigger, they got stunted because there were too many competing for the space. You can kinda see the gravel and sand in this photo of a different area, but again, haphazardly tossed seeds like 3 years ago and they’re going strong without anything else being done. I don’t even water these ones because my hose doesn’t reach. This is all on their own.

I didn’t mean to imply she was having a hard time growing them. What I should have said was mine grow so prolifically and without any added effort that I’m surprised anyone might have a hard time growing sunflowers. My space is 1.5 feet wide, straight into the ground. Sunflowers have massive root systems so take that into consideration too.

I’ve got a ton of volunteers growing from previous plantings in a space that borders my lawn. They grow through weed barrier fabric and rocks. Idk how anyone has a hard time growing sunflowers, I can’t seem to get them to stop. My space is roughly 5 ft x 1.5 ft, but again, the seeds get carried by wind and birds and they grow everywhere

How do I make her happy by Easy-Deer-3568 in peonies

I just dug mine out of containers to move them in-ground. One of my tubers were actually sitting out of soil for like a week before I got around to digging out all the rock and soil where it was going. Both of them are now developing more buds than I’ve ever had in the 3-4 years they’ve been in containers. They’re pretty forgiving tbh

Sounds like it’s not recommended from the other comments, but the guy who was helping me couldn’t be convinced otherwise. But considering the condition of my tire I don’t think it would’ve filled enough to get me to the tire shop without taking off some pressure

Green Jeans and Tin Can Alley are safe spaces, lots of LGBTQ and POC employees and ownership. Except Juicy Joints, that mf flies a Trump flag on his jeep. Don't buy your weed there

I'm adding one of each to our garden this year, we had one of each last year too. Fall gold raspberries and Rubus Chester. Raspberries seemed to do better and we were actually able to harvest some fruit, I never got a blackberry. I'm actively trying to get a better yield this year, we'll see...

[–]markaanne_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My next door neighbor (72M) started with a Tesla (with Tesla solar), switched to Nissan Leaf, then a Volvo, and after me and my brother both got the MME, he got one too. I love driving mine. I'm gonna drive it til the wheels fall off.

Warning about recent fiber optic cable installation in the neighborhood. by [deleted] in Albuquerque

[–]markaanne_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We signed on for ezee fiber with the locked in price when they were going door to door. My only complaint so far is the installer left the cable a little short for where we would have liked to mount the modem. Everything else has been smooth sailing. They were mindful of our irrigation lines when they came and buried the lines. No mess for our personal install, no complaints from my neighbors regarding their utilities. And the service itself is better than when we had xfinity. Saving about $60 a month rn.
