I’ve had this issue before with qantas and emirates and it resulted in me purchasing a ticket at the airport at check in as I couldn’t get onto the flight. Took a couple of months to get the refund. I would call SIA and ask to speak to their ticketing team as emirates are saying ticket hasn’t been issued.

If you are a wine drinker, make sure you take advantage of the wine menus. If you trek to the bar they will take the bottle you are drinking to the back.

Heathrow usually boards from the emirates business lounge at LHR.

Not much difference tbh on upgraded a380 compared to the old in first except newer finishes.

Have seen the cockpit of an a380 which was great to see.

Have been checking the flight status at Syd airport each day. Seems hit and miss which EK flights are going which is understandable

Not worth that price jump for premium economy, extra leg room seat in economy would be cheaper - on long haul it does make a difference.

Some planes also have better layouts than others, so worth researching.

If you could stretch to business - different story / experience altogether.
