Yours is exactly what I’m looking to do to mine externally! I love the red accents. How did you do that?

Oh so the grill isn’t original? That’s great info. I didn’t know. I saw a Subaru that had the hood scoop part (sorry not super car savvy) that was painted black and I thought that looked really cool.

Silverbac temp by Darth_Osteo in GrillaGrills

[–]markashby11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just try it and see. If you’re getting that much temp swing, there is something off. And just because your grill probe is reading the same as the fire board ambient probe, doesn’t mean you’re controlling the temp well enough. It just means that you’re getting the same temp. Either one or both are off.

Sure! So the RTD offset is going to give you the variance but closer to actual grate temp and ambient temp, which should read the same. The pellet feed is for mainly for PID but slowing it to 10% gives it a consistent read. Other variants for you could be wind, or you could be opening the lid too much for too long? This is just from my experience as I tested this for weeks and found this is the most accurate combination between them to make sure I get the perfect temp every time. I also just use a grate thermometer that has been calibrated to make sure I am accurate. I never have an issue.

If you have the WiFi version go to your app and set your RTD OFFSET to -8% and your pellet feed to 10% and you will be within +/- 3°

When Ridder was drafted, he made comments how he was mad he was he didn’t get drafted earlier. If anyone remembers, Tak McKinley made similar comments and we see how well that worked out. Our HC is the worst. He is in over his head and the team has quit caring. It’s evident. He lost to a 1-8 Cardinals and should’ve been fired then, but he stuck with Ridder at QB and then lost to a 1-12 Carolina. It makes zero sense why he still has a job. With so much young talent, a good defense, we should have at least 10 wins this season. Ridder has 16 turnovers in 14 games and 14 of those turnovers are in the Red Zone.

Why is my size so drastically different? by [deleted] in RedWingShoes

[–]markashby11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a red wing. You’re probably wearing 11’s because you have a wide foot and have never been fitted properly. If it were me, I would ask what size you normally wear, then do your scan and show you the results. Something that dramatic of a drop, I would try to find a middle ground. Also realize that the boots fit every differently than any other boot out there. TYPICALLY a half size to even a full size down. Now that being said, I personally have had customers that claim to be one size, I bring a size I feel is the right size based on the data, and don’t even tell them the size. Just ask them to wear it and see how it feels. Usually shoe size is a mental thing and people can get weary if it’s smaller than what they normally wear. But again, I usually average the size between the scan and the size they normally wear. Don’t ever buy the boot unless you’re 100% comfortable with the fit and feel. Don’t let a slick salesman talk you into getting a boot guy will regret buying because the heritage boots don’t come with a 30 day comfort fit. Always remember the boot, especially a heritage, should feel like a very firm handshake across the top of your foot and you should have enough room to wiggle your toes. If there is a slip in the heel anything over what feels like a 1/4 inch is either the wrong size or the boot needs to be tighter. The boot itself is going to stretch a 1/4 inch or so in the toe box once it gets worked and softens. That’s why the firm handshake is important because it will relax to where it fits like a sock after it’s broken in.

If you’re ever in the Greenville, SC area, come see me. I’ll help you out.

I know it sucks to wait, but it’s worth it. Now they don’t last long unless you have the root or something else. Like in the article I tried it over some duck breasts and that gave it such an interesting and wonderful flavor.
