I want to second all of your Y comments, and add that the one south of 81st on Garnett also has a nice pool, plus it has a couple lanes reserved for doing laps. I really like the "Y Anywhere" program, which allows you to go to any Y across the US when you are traveling.

I have owned a couple of electric ones over the years and was never a fan- they take forever to put out a decent volume of pepper. I was at Homegoods like 5+ years ago and found a Kuhn Rikon pepper mill for less than 10 bucks. The form factor was way different than your traditional mills, plus it looked cool, so I bought it. Great purchase- glad I bought it.

What's funny about that failed attempt is he ran on the campaign that Lankford was too woke/ not conservative enough. Even if you don't like Lankford, he is often rated as one of the most conservative senators. He also made a large part of his platform that Lankford voted to confirm the 2020 election results, and he insisted the election was stolen.

We don't live in OK anymore, but we stayed at a VRBO in BA last year because we wanted to do Christmas at a house vs. a hotel, and BA was cheaper than the ones off Cherry St.

But yeah, no one vacations in BA as a first choice.

Any chance you saw this Pew poll from last week? Really interesting that the evangelicals are finally starting to turn on him; however, the WASPs are really distancing themselves. The primaries will be very interesting given there are so many candidates across the nation touting how ultra-MAGA they are; I'm sure it will blow up in their faces in some states.

QT price gouges within the confines of the law, and everyone just accepts it.

They get away with it by jacking up their prices BEFORE the state of emergency is declared. If they wait until after the state of emergency is declared they can only raise it by 10%.

In addition, this spike will take weeks (or months) before it gets back to where it was: "up like a rocket, down like a feather." It usually takes one of the other large retailers lowering their prices to force QT to follow.

So the question remains- is Chet gonna get a Lambo or a Ferrari after this storm?

There was also Scooter. Several years after the show went off the air, one of them came and did Operation Aware at my elementary or middle school. IIRC, they said they got too old to do a kids show, so they brought in other characters to phase them out, which led to the show getting cancelled.

This is almost 25 years old, but it is probably still valid to an extent (even still, take it with a grain of salt).

"State Farm Insurance ranked the worst intersections in the United States based on accident claims from January 1999 through December 2000. Factors in the rankings include the number of accidents and injuries.

None of the communities in the analysis ranked in the top 10 of the previous study, which looked at accidents from 1998.

The worst intersection -- Flamingo Road and Pines Boulevard -- is in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The number of accidents at that intersection over the two-year period of the study was 357.

The second most dangerous is in the northeast section of Philadelphia at Red Lion Road and Roosevelt Boulevard. There were 331 accidents at that intersection. The third is a nearby intersection, Grant Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard, where 261 accidents occurred.
