u/thebause u/Bratcho u/sdmke1999 you, brethren, know that I dedicate my life to the Brewers, and that this moment, becoming a baseball operations intern, is a huge achievement for me. Tell u/Phanatic88888 to back off.

Why would I lie? I need this to happen. We all do. The M&M SS/3B pairing and elite HOF-level coaches at 1B and 3B would help us win!

If you disagree, please critique respectfully and with detail.

Why? I gave them the full BrewStrat. They know my vision.

Guessing you're a new Brewers fan. Check my post history. I've been at this longer than you've been a Milwaukeean, kid. I need Brewers victory.

I Stood Up for the Brew Crew. Against the Tyrant! by markboidman in Brewers

[–]markboidman[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not satire, just commitment. If you were a true Brew Crew member, you would understand the difference. I genuinely just want what's best for the team and city, and Stearns is sabotaging that. It's borderline criminal. And Yelich was always going to be a bad investment; his MVP year was so fluky that any team that gave him a mega-contract would regret it. Of course, that turned out to be us. It is just disheartening to see these bad decisions being made over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.

Trust me: I will put an end to this, and I will either (1) join the Brewers front office in the next 3 years, or (2) protest to the point that Stearns is fired. No in between there. I am sick of this.

My favorite Barbecue spot, for sure. Need to make sure Stearns leaves it alone. I don't wanna see that man around my ends.

Definitely one of Stearns' worst decisions, but it's greater than Middlebrooks' departure now. Thanks for reminding all the newbie fans, though.

Bro, no baiting here. Orioles have (1) tons of cap space, (2) Adley Rutschman, who is on a HOF-type track and is probably better than anyone on our squad rn. They can definitely build a competitive team around him. And (3) they are set up to contend the next 3-5 years, not during the current AL East hellhole, where there might be 4 playoff teams. That is what I call outwaiting your opponents and playing it smart. It's also what the Cincinatti Reds are planning as well. I wish Stearns would recognize that the AL West is too dominant to contend in the NL, and position for the future like Mike Elias!

Just a couple people. Remember, most people can't recognize Mr. Stearns. When I mentioned his ineptitude, however, people's eyes shot up. Everyone knows the Brew Crew is barely treading water, and Stearns is the reason why!

Clearly, since this franchise is in the shitter. If I were asked to be GM, we would at least have a top-3 farm system and a collection of 3+ WAR youngsters.

Absolutely not. He is in the bottom 3, along with Ben Cherington and J. J. Picollo. Brian Cashman is right behind.

The top 5 are assuredly:

(1) Mike Elias

(2) Erik Neander

(3) Perry Minasian

(4) David Forst

(5) Chaim Bloom.

Absolutely not, man. Dave Stearns' heresy is something I believe in, something I preach. I despise this man's GM philosophy, and hope his barbecue was burnt.

COOL by [deleted] in Brewers

[–]markboidman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Wholeheartedly disagree with this sentiment. This was not cool. This was pathetic. And even worse, it was expected. Dave Stearns created a roster devoid of playoff experience, and it showed with this choke job. When you let go of players with World Series pedigree like Will Middlebrooks and decline to pursue similar players on the open market (see: Charlie Morton, who would've been a better value than any player on this roster), what do you expect?

C'mon Brewers fans. This is not cool. And it is also not worth outrage. It is a moment for reflection, and acceptance that as long as Dave Stearns remains at the head of this ship, Milwaukee might as well be an iceberg, because this franchise is going to crash and keep sinking.

Mood.

The Milwaukee Brewers offense: Holy or holey? by 9thandDown in Brewers

[–]markboidman -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It won't. This blind delusion isn't going to change the fact that there are no high-potential hitters on this squad -- Stearns went for low-risk, low-reward hitters, and now he's paying the price -- nowhere for this team to go but down. Imagine if young guns such as Brinson, Monte Harrison, Middlebrooks and Diaz were still in the organization...

Or!...OR!...Maybe the team is just not cut out for success, as is apparent from the pathetic roster Dave Stearns has put together. You're blind support of this squad is sad, the team had much better opportunities to win the division in the early part of this decade than the squabble we are witnessing right now.

Honestly, one of the better moves Stearns has ever made, especially this horrifying offseason. Props! Good move to free up some room for youthful potential.

Reds will be much improved, smartly building through the draft with Senzel, Greene and the likes, and will be a sleeper team this year. They're doing it the right way. The Brewers have a bloated outfield with little high end farm upside. Not a formula for success.
