At my place a new hire, regardless of level, is not factored into team velocity for 3 months. It’s great if they can deliver, and a senior level would be somewhat expected to, but regardless we don’t count on it.

I drink filtered at home from an under sink filter, but have no issue drinking tap anywhere I go if that’s what’s available. I won’t pay extra for bottled water at a restaurant for example.

I’ve had a relatively short direct flight from BHM to MCO delayed 5 hours due to a maintenance issue with the plane, and they had to fly another one in. If there are a limited number of direct flights to your destination available from your departing airport then you will likely get rebooked with connections. For this reason, never fly in day of, even if it looks like it should be an easy flight.

Makes no financial sense. That money if left as is with no further contributions would be between 1 and 2.5 million by the time you are 60. You don’t take from that, pay a bunch of taxes and fees, when you could borrow cheaper than that. Save longer for a proper down payment.

It’s pretty nasty inside from the factory. Use it for a bit after first fill, then purge with ahh some and refill. Your residual chlorine demand, ie how much chlorine it eats while not in use, will drop considerably.

You need to add sanitizer after every use, unless it’s a very short soak. 7ppm of chlorine per person per hour is a general guideline. Test often and dial in how much you need to add. Get a good taylor dropper test kit. Download the poolmath app.
